  1. Daniel Inksmith would watch the debate from the crowd, eyes darting between Lukas and Tosali, his hand quickly writing down notes into a held stack of parchment.
  2. Out-Of-Character Information What’s your Minecraft account name?: JamieWIII How old are you?: 17 What timezone are you in?: PST Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes, I am aware. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The ability of players to use lockpicks to get past locked doors. It may sound simple, and even though my character may never use it, I think it's quite interesting, and can lead to very cool RP. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): I understand all of the rules posted, though I have a couple of questions about the magic system. Though, that mainly relates to Alchemy. From reading around the forum, I know that 'Further Alchemy' is considered a magic that goes through the magic teaching system, but that makes it sound as if there is a basic alchemy beforehand. Is that so? How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: A friend of mine told me about it. I do not know their username. Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): N/A Have you logged into the server yet? (You cannot be whitelisted without logging in at least once): Yes. Definitions What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the act of creating character, a person with their own background, dreams, beliefs, and then acting through that character, as if you were that character. To spend some time, being someone else. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is to use information your character doesn't know, whether that be out of character info, or even lore that your character hadn't studied, and use it to your advantage. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is the act of using something within roleplay that forces another character to do something. This is less of, 'George pushes Jane forward,' but more like, 'George pushes Jane off the cliff,'. It forces another character to perish, or injure themselves, without giving them a chance to change the outcome. In-Character Information Character’s name: Daniel Inksmith Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Human (Heartlander) Character’s age: 23 Years Old Biography: Daniel Inksmith was born in Felsen, on the Isles of Vailor, before the fall. At two years of age, Vailor fell, and while he doesn't remember the event itself, he remembers the aftermath. Daniel did not escape unscathed. Orgon's plague had gotten to him as his family was leaving, and only by finding a cleric was he saved. However, it still took its toll on the young boy, ruining his sight in his left eye, draining color from the world. After making it to Axios, the Inksmith family had a blacksmith create a set of goggles in the hopes of protecting what remained of their son's vision. Soon afterwards, the family moved into the wilds and became hunters. Daniel spent many years afterward both hunting with his father, and reading books about people and places far beyond his reach. In his free time, Daniel would try his hand at writing stories himself, trying to go back to the family trade. Sometimes Daniel would give copies of his stories to the merchant who traveled by whenever his father was selling furs or purchasing goods. Daniel had hunted with his father for many years before a bear caught them unawares, and attacked Daniel. Daniel's father quickly defeated the bear, and quickly tended to his injured son. Finding that he could not heal Daniel with what he had, he brought the bear, and the injured Daniel to the capital city of Johannesburg. Trading away the bear's pelt and meat, Daniel's father was able to afford a healer. After being healed, Daniel explored the city and fell in love with it. After two more years with his parents in the forest, Daniel went back to Johannesburg to continue his family's profession before having come to Vailor. Personality Traits: Daniel, among his love of reading and writing, loves to watch parts of this world that are filled with color. To see dancing flames, or dazzling colors reminds him that he is still alive, that the world around still holds life, even if he can't always see it. When in the midst of writing, he can be a bit absentminded, acting out scenes or quoting his own characters. Every once in a while, Daniel will cover his left eye so he may better examine an object, or remember a face. Ambitions: Daniel aspires to one day be a well read writer. Not to be remembered himself, but to let others be remembered. Strengths/Talents: Daniel is fairly good at quickly recording down information, and his love for examining color has led him to remember things quite well. He can use a bow, but has only done so while hunting, and has never fought another man before. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Daniel is not a very strong or fast man, and has very little skill in the way of hand to hand combat, the bow only being known to him due to his time hunting. He also finds it easier to watch and record the world around him, instead of interacting with, or being a part of it. Appearance: Daniel is around five feet, nine inches tall, and has dark brown eyes, his left a bit lighter than his right. He has some scars on the left side of his jaw, but keeps it covered with an old bandana. He does very little to keep the dark brown mess of hair atop his head tidy, instead focusing on wearing good clothing. Skin:
