  1. Leal guardsman of the Rutherns, Emeric let out a faint breath of relief upon scanning the first few lines of the notice. It was a long time coming. He ought to congratulate the Duke. First, though, the man had to finish his bout of painfully slow reading.

  2. Returned home from a decently tiring journey, a certain Ruthern guardsman took his time reading through the report. Though it was a slow effort with his one hand, Emeric came to the spot where his own name surfaced, and he raised a brow slightly. He did not recall telling anyone about his actions during the battle.

  3. With a stern expression, the small notice was pinned up against the wall of his home. The ever-leal guardsman sat down and resumed the oiling and maintenance of his equipment. It went without saying.

  4. One loyal guardsman slowly read through the notice as ably as he could, paying special attention to the names of those taken. No names of those he knew directly or personally in his service, yet that did not bring relief. An awful way to be taken. His brow set in a grimace.

  5. Hey there!

I'm ContestedSnow and I'm new here and trying too hard at this intro thing already

I thought that since I'm brand spankin new like a shiny new washing machine I'd inform all of my fancy schmancy functions/

Among the list of functions I have,

I can talk, and breathe and I'm fairly alright at writing and roleplay if you ask me!

I'm from Australia so I don't catch as many people around thanks to my timezone.

I'm not sure what else to say other than I dont bite so

if you see me around feel free to hmu

Feel free to ask questions or don't!

  6. Out-Of-Character Information.

What’s your Minecraft account name?: ContestedSnow

What timezone are you in?: Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) or GMT+10!

    How old are you?:  I’m 15 turning 16 in a few months.~

Are you aware the online content on this server may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13?: I’m aware!

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes, indeedyroo I have and yes I do.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: I’m a fan of the rules on allowed and disallowed game mods. A lot of servers aren’t very straight up-front about it so it’s often easy to find out too late or the hard way! I reckon its good that there’s a clear set list right there in the rules.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): They all seem straightforward and common sense, so I should survive!

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I found out from a friend!, @Manatee

Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): Zilch.

Have you logged into the server yet? (You cannot be whitelisted without logging in at least once): I’ve popped in as a guest to check it all out and I’m pretty fond of the architecture styles, honestly.

    Definitions

What is roleplaying?: Roleplay is the act or activity where you play the role of another person, generally as a character though it can be third-person and for non-sentient creatures! Roleplaying can be in games or in real life, just ask all those LARPers, heh.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when a player uses knowledge that otherwise would not be known by their characters to further their own causes unfairly! It’s cheating by using your out of character know-how.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is when someone roleplays a character so that another player may not be able to avoid or retaliate to an action made by their character. Essentially, it can be forcing or pushing someone into a corner where their only option is to take the ‘hit’. It’s un-cool and unfair.

    In-Character Information

    Character’s name: Rembrandt von Halmer-Sternberg.

Character’s sex: “Are you bloody daft? I’m pretty obviously a man.”

Character’s race: Rembrandt is a Raevir Highlander human, though has picked up on aspects of Heartlander culture through life experience.

Character’s age: The man is only at the diminutive age of 29 years old, a far cry from the ages that those who surround him reach.

Biography: Rembrandt was born in the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruski, in the year 1567. He was born into a poor serf family, spending most of his childhood learning to work the land and to handle the family work horse. As such, he still looks fondly on the lowest echelons of society, finding the hard working people the most refreshing. His early teenage years were adversely different to the peaceful childhood he had however, as he’d grown a much more distinct personality. He caused problems, pulled pranks and was a violent and brash teenager amongst friends. While he eventually grew out of his brashness, he never outgrew his need to move around and be on the move nor his brashness.

As the years passed and as he grew farther apart from his simple family, he joined a travelling troupe that had been passing by, making a living amongst them by pulling off dangerous horseback tricks. He was witness to a many good occurrences, but just as many negative. This eventually shaped his unique moral compass that he follows with an almost arrogant confidence and belief. He learnt how to work around a blade and eventually struck out on his own, though not before taking one of the troupe’s horses with him. He had left two families behind by this point, because he wanted and believed he was meant for something higher.

Personality Traits: Rembrandt is a man who follows his morals and beliefs, first and foremost. He believes in a common good and works towards it, though occasionally not with the most savoury methods. While he’s possessed of a good sense of humour and occasional humility at times, thanks to his lowly birth, he is likewise in possession of a strong belief that he understands things better than most. The relatively young man is perceptive, though at the same time, somewhat narrow-minded. Forceful at most occasions, gentle at a fair few, but always ready to strike back if challenged, or he or his companions are hurt, whomever they may be.

Ambitions: The young man came from a poor serf family and so grew to eventually be determined to have a better life, both in wealth and in accomplishment. He wants to be heard, he wants to be known and he wants to live in a sense of order that he decides.

Strengths/Talents: Over the years of practice and trial and error, Rem has grown skilled with the arming sword at his hip, generally using it to defend himself well and adequately. He learnt most skills with the blade from previous teachers amongst his adopted home with the travelling troupe. He likewise grew skilled with the handling and riding of horses. He was known to be attached to most horses owned and the most knowledgeable and able to look after and ride them when the time can.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Rembrandt is a wroth lad, and unfortunately narrow-minded. Where some would see the ability to reason and remain calm, Rem is much more likely to snap and take things into his own hands, sometimes violently. He is short-sighted in his right eye and, while it is not too debilitating in close situations, the problem becomes increasingly worse as distance increases. He is unable to wield long range weapons or do activities that require long range.

Appearance: The highlander is a tanned man, rather aged in appearance, if only through his ragged and scruffy ensuite. He wears his thick brown long hair loose, down his back and on his shoulders and stands tall at a height of 6'1. He wears a scruffy but short beard on his face, his almost mahogany brown eyes squinted somewhat as if judging what is in front of him. His clothes are simple, a dull grey woolen shirt and brown trousers, complete with thick soled leather boots and a scratched dull iron amulet around his neck.
