Derogatory remarks made through Lord of the Craft communication not being tolerated. I believe this rule is one people should keep in mind at all times, as every person has equal rights to have an enjoyable experience while playing on this server. No How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I was looking for a genuine Role Play experience through Minecraft and randomly bumped in to this one. What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is acting as a different person than yourself, often a character that is fictitious in a world that may also be fictitious. What is metagaming?: Meta-gaming is the process of using knowledge you know, not your character, and acting on that knowledge with your character. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power-gaming is when you try and force an emote down the throats of those you are Role Playing with. Power Gaming also may be denying your partners the opportunity to respond to your emotes in any way. It is widely frowned upon in any Role Play community. Character’s name: Kaliq Kahm'Set Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Human, Qalasheen Character’s age: 20 Biography: Kaliq, born an only child in Al'Khaleed to parents Sahmul and Farriah in the year 1563, grew up working hard and adventuring often. Kaliq's adventures often brought him trouble, which he embraced with open arms. An adventure without action was hardly an adventure at all, or such was true to his beliefs. While Sahmul thrived as a renowned party organizer, and Farriah weaved clothes, Kaliq brought coin to his family from beyond the boundaries of the city. Kaliq's life took a drastic turn at the age of six-teen, when his mother fell ill, and his father tarnished his reputation by first smuggling alcohol then committing foolish acts of a drunk at a party. Adventuring became a thing of the past for Kaliq, at least for a while, as he was required to stay at home until both his parents managed to pull themselves together and step back in to the world. Unfortunately the illness of his mother evolved in to something terminal, and her death took a toll on both Kaliq and Sahmul. Sahmul felt broken, refusing to leave home for a year while Kaliq was given yet more weight on his shoulders. Adventuring seemed to be something he'd never be able to do again as that year slowly crept by. Fortunately for Kaliq, his father recovered, and he was able to continue adventuring while also helping his father make the Kahm'Set name one that people wanted to affiliate themselves with again. Sure enough, Sahmul found himself at the helm of many parties once again. Kaliq began expanding his adventures globally, searching for that perfect find that could land his name in the history books. Kaliq grew followers, some abandoned the adventures, some stayed true to the task. Kaliq made much coin from several insignificant finds and sent half of what he was given back home to Sahmul. 1582, Sahmul unfortunately passes away, and Kaliq returns home to pay his proper respects and run his father's party business for a few months before passing it on to a trusted employee. 1583, present, Kaliq has yet again taken up the task of adventuring and hopes to establish strong relationships along the way. Personality Traits: Above all else, Kaliq is hard working. Always searching for a means to physically test himself, and also earn a bit of coin. Kaliq is also open minded to the beliefs/cultures of other races, and encourages those he befriends to embrace who they are and where they come from. Kaliq is reckless as well, often stumbling right in to traps, struggling to claw his way back out of conflict. Ambitions: Kaliq has one particular goal in life. Discovery. Kaliq hopes to one day discover something so important to the world that it instantly earns him global fame and a vast amount of coin. Beside this, Kaliq also hopes to establish strong relationships with people from all around the world, both romantic and not. Strengths/Talents: Kaliq is athletically built, having spent many years of his life eating healthy and remaining physically active. Secondly, Kaliq is focused/determined. When he sets himself to a task he works hard to ensure that the task is completed. Lastly, Kaliq is both mentally and physically quick. Often finding a dire need to use with and sleight of hand to remove himself from tight situations. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Kaliq has no ability to use magic, nor does he understand much about it. When faced with it, he is at a distinct disadvantage. Secondly, Kaliq is fit but not 'strong'. He's able to endure much, and move around with ease, but when facing an opponent or challenge that requires the brawn of a bull, he may struggle to claim victory. Lastly, Kaliq is impulsive in the bad sense of the word. When he sees something he wants he'll dive right for it and in doing so he stumbles right in to conflict instead. Appearance: Average in height for his people, sun kissed, and athletically toned. Kaliq has all the physical qualities one of his culture should have to be considered handsome. Kaliq often wears very little in the means of clothing, as he has found too much clothing just gets in the way when you're trying to navigate through the bowels of a temple, or scale a mountain.
