Having fled back to Sunholdt after the horrific events, Vespira was through her third bottle of red when the servant read the statement to her. The news of an internal assassination was shocking, yet left her quickly as her mind once more flooded to images of Joseph being shot in front of her, and the young child's throat being slit at the gates of Providence. She simply rose, stumbling to the wall as she rested a hand on the ISA Portrait before her... "Oh, Papa... I'm glad you didn't witness the events that took place.. Your heart would break.." The Spinster queried aloud.

Vespira sighed, at hearing the news, her content smugness not faltering. She recalled fondly all the times she'd lead rumors, and made gossip among the courtiers about her darling cousin, married to her dear 'Charlie Auggie' Along with the many other women's reputations she'd go on to tarnish. For a solemn moment, albeit short, she felt remorse for having helped cause such chaos. Knowing it could easily be her reputation ruined by one of her many scandals. "Oh Well~" The Selm Replied aloud to herself, swirling her wine in thought.

In one of Sunholdt's many bedchambers, the young Selm woman proceeded to read the missive given to her with growing laughter. Only stopping when the cocaine spoon was passed about the crazed intoxicated socialites "My word this is the best part-" Vespira said as she cleared her throat, laughing before calming herself as she read the quote to her guests. "then found their doors kicked in by the marauders, many of them being dragged into the town’s streets and executed." She finished shaking her head "These poor confused savages haven't a faint clue the war is there fault. I daresay they should be thanking us. We have so much culture and dignity to offer to them once we hang the northern imbeciles- Oh.. How papa would have loved this.." She said with a solemn smile before lifting a glass of wine to her lips as she listened to her guests continue insulting the warring nations- even there allies..

In the halls of Sunholdt, the retired Jewelry Tycoon sipped her champagne while enjoy a hot bath, in her other hand she held a local paper containing news of the war declaration. After downing her champagne flute she had her nearby maid bring her a cigar. Inhaling from it as the maid lit it for her. She puffed the vanilla tobacco away to the side in her maids face as she finished reading. Bringing the paper to the end of her cigar she inhaled, letting the embers spark fire to the paper. Holding it as it burned for a brief moment before tossing it onto the stone floor. The young Orenian pursed her lips in thought before finding words in response. "All this talk of war will do hell on my social calendar. Silly foreigners, how dare they!"

Having woken late in the afternoon after a night of partying, the Selm spinster was brought the news by a servant in Sunholdt, she read the paper by candlelight, refusing to open the curtains as she held a cold spoon to her forehead. Upon realizing it was just a war declaration Vespira tossed it to the floor and rolled her eyes before getting out of bed. The young girl adjusted her under gown as she walked to the dining room, muttering in her path "Like it makes a difference.."

(I wanted to do an actual auction in game, but sadly irl makes it unlikely so I hope you enjoy this post :D)
Upon the voidal attacks in Arcas, Helena was hit tremendously hard. The city was set aflame, with creatures of darkness marching around the streets, killing any in their paths. For the Dowager of Vîlachia, many of her earthly possessions could not be saved, and thus were abandoned in Arcas.
Remnants of her Inheiritance's and personal collections of art, and jewelry were still saved, and today, per the wishes of the late Grand Dame. Her collections will be auctioned to the people of The Empire, in the absence of direct kin.
Starting bids will be stated with each item, and must increase by a minimum of 10 mina per bid. The auction will remain open for 2 Saint Weeks to date. (Ending May 1st)

Julietta Maria Collection
Following the departure of Julietta Maria, the old Dowager of Vîlachia, and Baronetess of Napoliza. An Auction is to be held in Providence for the wardrobe of the icon of the 1730's. Selling pieces for both children and adults.
As a child, the young girl was left to herself, with only the guidance of her elder sister while her parents dealt with the abdication of Adria. She had a significant allowance and was known to be a shopaholic, even in her marital years. A great woman who looked up to the icon before her, her Aunt Anabel of Curon. Who's fashion she admired, and held inspiration for, following many years of her life.

SpoilerThis gown was one of the oldest remaining in Julietta's collection, being a gift from her mother Emigliana when the Varoche children were sent to Helena shortly after their fathers abdication. An illatian themed gown of fine silks and skilled embroidery.
Imperial Elegance
SpoilerOne of the most Iconic piece's of Julietta's collection from the days of her adolescence when she shined to the courts in the 1720's as a young girl. Akin to most girls of those times, adorned in the traditional Empire of Man purple and black. Favoring the use of refined, imported Suitican silks. The particular gown that made her the envy among the other girls of the courts. Having sewn the gown herself in honor of the fashions of her Imperial Majesty, Empress Adeline of Alstion.
Mourning Silks
SpoilerVaroche themed skirts worn under noir mourning garbs with Haenseti cotton collar and sleeves. A gown Vespira had stitched by hand through the night after her mother had murdered her father, and the guards of Ves struck her down. A gown she was seen wearing often in Helena, and soon Haense after being taken in from the Pontiff after her and her siblings had been orphaned. Allowing them to once more return to their families palace, however remaining under republic rule.
Courtships Bliss
SpoilerA gown perfectly designed to modestly conceal a woman's- Godly curvatures. This lovely peach number was worn with a bear fur cloak by Julietta after her friend Laurentina had proposed a courtship between her and the Count James Marna. She was seen wearing it out with the young lord often, including her formal introduction to Ravensburg. In which she stood by James while his fool danced for them in court. The fabric purposely chosen to display her growing affections. Only to fade, and never come to fruition.
Queen of Roses
SpoilerAs the young Lady blossomed into society, she did so with a bang. Upon a faithful ball in Ves, the King of Kaedrin had thrown in celebration of his finding a wife. He invited woman from across the empire to compete with the greatest of rose themed gowns. Julietta stole the show between her natured mother's appearance and her clever use of rose embroidery in her showstopper.
Duty to Family
SpoilerAn outfit that remained in style for many years up to the 1750's, when the Dowager's firstborn took to wearing it herself. This is one of Julietta's more favored pieces, yet became rarely worn after the day her Husband Janos had dueled her beloved James Marna for her hand in marriage, following a disagreement with her brother. James had won the day, but following her brothers instructions when given the chance, she chose to court Janos. James had left the capital. And Julietta retired the elegant gown. Even her days as a widow she never wore it again. Some of her maids believed she carried a torch for James even after she married.
Honor
SpoilerAs Julietta and her husband rose in the courts of the young Marna Emperor, her husband had gained permission to take the titles of his father after his brother disregarded the word of the Emperor Achilles. Julietta, despite spending more than ever, as the young wealthy couple had been known to do, favored wearing the modest circlet of her mother in her memory as she grew into her Emigliana's face with maturity. However as her husband won more tournaments, he grew more of a glutton, gambler, and became crueler. This gown was the only one Julietta could take with her when she escaped her Helena Manor after being locked in a closet after a heated argument with the prince. leaving everything behind including her daughter, but a small sack of Jewels, jewels she'd use to flee the empire's grips and stay in hiding from her husband, with her unborn twins. The last bit of luxury she possessed in her time in hiding, until her return to Helena following her Husbands murder.
Spring

Despite being almost forgotten by the courts, Julietta kept the tradition of bearing elegance. And celebrated her newfound freedom with one of her most iconic spring gowns, a beauty that speaks for itself.
Lorena
SpoilerIn welcoming the new styles introduced by her old friend Empress Lorena, and the younger ladies of the court. Julianna adapted her styles from that of the great Anabel, favoring the 1760 Petticoats that had been all the rage at the time. In addition she styled the outfit with her own seductive, yet tasteful corset to celebrate her ageless beauty even as a Dowager. This gown has seen the blunt of the heiress' wild parties, shown by the faint stains of champagne and rum on the edges of the sleeves.
How Scandalous
SpoilerOne of Julietta's more expensive gowns bearing a majority of silks, yet remains a scandalous number. The gown certainly shows more- ahem.. shoulder rightfully suiting for a widow in her late 40's. But complimented nobly by her long pearls clasped to her gold choker. It is said she was seen drinking in this very gown with the Duke John of Sunholdt while his wife was away..
An Adventure

Julietta's wine red lambskin leather coat. One couldn't tell, but this coat has been mended multiple times after the enormous Orenian ship was attacked by a kraken on the expedition to Athera. The coat was damaged while Julietta helped the other young women hide in the captains cabin while the ISA fought the creature bravely. Sadly her handmaids were left behind in favor of her luggage while being put on an emergency boat. However some recall seeing the dowager humourously smack peasants with her oars for trying to board her boat. She wore the leather coat for the extend of their stay in the Helentine Camp while shipwrecked, and again in the invasion of Petrus, where she healed many soldiers, and even saved Emperor Peter III after he'd been shot by a cannon!
This coat, is no stranger to action. Don't be fooled by its elegance.
Party
SpoilerA gorgeous cream gown worn by the Dowager to the Emperor's Jubilee, honoring his preference of Navy Blue with her corset, while maintaining an angelic elegance through her cream satin skirts, and white lace gloves.
Maturity
SpoilerThe by far most iconic gown of Julietta's Collection. Being favored in her early years following the dip, and quick recovery of her finances. Choosing to honor the memory of her late Husbands family colours, despite the rocky history between the two icons of the 1730'a. A gown carefully designed without expense, and reworked multiple times by her team of dressmakers, until it was perfection. A gown that honored The Dowager-Princess' story, completely.

on the 13th of The Second age, the 99 year old Dowager on Selm Street had passed away due to lung complications.
Born to the Duke Paul of Adria and Emigliana. The young girl went on to marry a bastard who would become the Prince of Vîlachia, only for her to run from him, and his brothers to murder him and take back what was theirs.
Julietta lived a long, joyous life. Left alone in this life with the passing of her blood relatives, leaving only the kin from her cousins Mariya and Sofiya's side, and her niece, the Dowager-Duchess Anna of Sunholt.
Despite her blood families absence, she grew to consider many her own blood, those who remained with her through her elder years, the young Selm Sisters who she helped raise, and tutor for a time, and the fair Princess-Dowager Eleanor d'Arkent who she was often seen doting on. She was a woman out of time, having been one of the few to be raised during the war of the Two Emperors, when the House of Horen was still in power, famously feuding with the house of Marna. Her life as an heiress to the Varoche Children, and her late husbands mass fortune kept her living comfortably, as all remember the time she outbidded herself at a painting auction, or received gifts of pomp and circumstance from her with love.
With her passing long over, the time has come to auction her estate by her wishes. With certain heirlooms in exception bequiffed to those in her will.

Vespira cried endlessly in the days following her dear Papa's death Feeling an emptiness to Providence that didn't seem to fill, regardless of the Gin or 'Heartfelt Sympathies'
clad in her black silks of grief, she had her housemaids take her luggage in a rush, before escorting her in, as they rushed her inside with a bottle in hand. The driver bringing the reins down on the horses as they took off down the long Palace bridge.

Vespira sat in the Gardens of Sunholdt after hearing the news of her old friends death. She let loose a small, warm smile as she remembered first meeting in the streets of Helena when they were children. "I'm going to be a Countess when I grow up!" Vespira recalled Amadea saying with pride, her head held high.
"No one could ever take her place..." The Selm replied with sadness, as one of the few people she actually liked had been called to the Seven Skies once again...
