  1. [!] The Flyers Would Appear Around Providence, And at the Doorsteps of The Manor District. [!]

This season holds special meaning for me, dear readers. I am reminded of the seasons I attended as a girl. And we all know how ruthless this one will be.

I am nothing without my batallion of informants. You know you were all dying for the next edition, deny it all you want, it's here.

    JxuTXZtBoiHbg97jmgKNQ-Dkgk7zGq8JM0pwnWAXfv_3S7p_zwFNqOGpJnOGBNBB2_DpHipSTb-EkBoLisfFr0iCwClS8PyovmSABOwxMkkimI1QR4-YRA592fKHIqCa6jmk9aiq

    Bianca de Sarkozy
It seems the church isn’t the only one ignoring the words of our fair Empress, For it's not our ruby, Laurentina receiving the attention of the Duke of Sunholdt, it's our own Raev. That’s not all, has our first rift begun in the season? Apparently, Bianca was seen exchanging words with Analiese, bringing the girl to tears as she retreated to her empty home. I know Sarkozy men can be ruthless but it seems their women are no less dangerous. I wouldn’t want to cross this Debutant.

    Analiese d’Azor
What a crybaby, seems her father's money can only buy influence, not suitors. The youngest d’Azor was reportedly alone her whole first day of house calls. The unexpected however is that she was seen being put in her place by a certain Sarkozy girl. The season is for the strong, best this girl cede and accept her fate as a homely old maid.

    Laurentina Marigold
Our season's ruby seems to have turned her attention closer to home, we heard Laurentina’s house call was not with Duke Peter, but Richard d’Azor instead. I do wonder considering she’s already made Annabelle envious if Analiese will approve of this or not. I for one expect a feud between these three friends. Let's hope these three don't get distracted or Bianca will steal the show.

    Coraline Antonia
We all know this girl loves to stir the pot, Aster’s very own troublemaker one would say, but this girl has reportedly taken it a step too far. Some are saying she kissed another girl, and she liked it. While most of this seasons it girls are busy fighting one another, she’s sharing the love. As for whether this will damage her reputation, I imagine some of the bachelors in Oren may find it attractive, specifically a certain ducal heir…

    Annabelle Augusta
It almost looks like Annabelle has been taken down in one fell swoop, however certain Huntshill servants are saying she has no desire to be wed. A strange occurance among any of the debutants, I however dont believe this girl will go down without a fight, especially when both her best friends in this season are upstaging her. History be damned if the Novellen Bloods dont get their way.

    Sophie Cléméntine
It was reported the Provin's Girls were left without any house calls, whether it's behind her sister's backs or not. Sophie has been seen exchanging words with one of the Rutherns.
I wonder if the Pruvia girls are looking for an arrangement with one of Ivan's sons. Surely Sophie hasn’t changed her sights and still chases one of the ducal bachelors…

    Catherine Anastasia
I’d be a fool to leave out our little bookworm, Princess Catherine. The only other girl to Rival Bianca without even trying! I wish I could say I'm surprised, but when you throw the title of a prince or princess into the social seasons, as is expected, the finest is laid out before them on a silver platter. I happen to know she too is looking to one from a Ducal house, unfortunately for you, I won’t be confirming which, as 3 are showing interest, it’d be too easy to tell you right now. Don’t worry Princess, I haven’t forgotten you.

    Peter Augustus
While I generally focus on the debutantes, I feel the need to mention our fair duke, The Womanizer. With no short help from his sister, every debutante of note seems to be throwing themselves at this Bachelor. The handsome boy who used to wear his trousers too high is still landless after the previous war loss. I know myself how desirable the d’Arkents can be, but to upstage an heir to the Imperial Throne for a Duke in Refuge? The other Bachelors are sure to be butthurt from all the attention this boy’s getting.

    Evangéline Marie
Rather than her sister Thea, the ACTUAL debutant, it is The Baroness catching the attention this season. The Halcourt has supposedly offered a thousand mark bribe for Richard d’Azor. Leaving another man deeply envious. Hate to burst your bubble Angie, but it seems Richard has eyes for a more prominent carrottop and an elf. Im sure this Baroness is regretting her investment now...

    Clairessa
I told you you’d end up on someone’s hitlist, looks like you’ve made an enemy out of a Baroness. Clairessa was seen catching the attention of Richard d’Azor. I personally thought her time in the spotlight was over, how I love to be proven wrong. The question on my lips is will Richard choose Imperial Marks over the chance for love?

    N9cnnwzY8ocIWftr09c0MaeTkYpxe5ji4upP44drxXfaIUuRl_RreQZRt1CJk-z8mRwvUhO-SBN1GpCLzrC2CoHKiw_Na6vUfRoZjy_DedbXbYTZDqz1NfqSNnXebcNJUj46pWYZ

Still not enough? Thanks to one of my sources, I happen to know something big about the d’Azors. The family sat for supper in Azor with the guests Princess Amelia, Lord Helton, Lady Bianca, and of course Lady Valerie's & Lord Richards paramours.

Princess Amelia seemed to have a bit too much to drink, playing music and standing awfully close to The Duke and more importantly, his son… She seemed to egg on a complaint from Analiese towards her brother, which soon erupted into a familial feud between the youngest Azor boy and his siblings, going so far as to preach his hate for his own family, and most of all Richard's own father. How they disrespect him, and his shame for being a d’Azor.

Between how frisky The Princess seemed to be with the heir to Azor and in putting down Richard, added with the silence and disrespect shown to The Baroness, completely disregarding her own status, one stands in shock at the entire dinner parties behaviour.

This family has a reputation to say the least of being very prominent, and scandal free. But it’s a wonder of my own what the future holds in store between the main d’Azor Children, if they all seem turned on the runt, and more interestingly, about what’s going on between The Emperor’s Sister and The Heir of d’Azor, we all love a gregarious socialite who knows how to- ..have fun..

In truth, dear readers. I like to think of myself not as an enemy to Oren's finest, but a tutor. It's funny how much gets revealed when the pressure is put on you all. If there's one thing my many years have taught me, it's that you learn from your mistakes when the whole empire whispers of them.

Best be on your best behavior dear debutantes.

    Written with Love;

    -The Penman

  2. [!] Flyers Would Appear Around Providence & On People's Doorsteps [!]

I asked many of you young Debutants to share your secrets about the competition with the promise of anonymity, and just as I presumed, almost all of you ran for the chance.

While tradition is key in Oren, it is also meant to be broken, where for so long there has been one voice during the Debuts, now exists a second. You’re more than welcome to seek out titles, but not without a cost, especially when we have so many eligible bachelors for once in recent debut history.

Afterall, we Imperials Pride ourselves on our work, you can expect nothing less from me.

    JxuTXZtBoiHbg97jmgKNQ-Dkgk7zGq8JM0pwnWAXfv_3S7p_zwFNqOGpJnOGBNBB2_DpHipSTb-EkBoLisfFr0iCwClS8PyovmSABOwxMkkimI1QR4-YRA592fKHIqCa6jmk9aiq

    Without further ado, the first updates on our young doughty debutantes;

    Laurentina Helvets:

Ahh yes, our newest season Ruby. Who could expect anything less but perfection from this pristine gir- oh, Laurentina is the ruby isn’t she. Yes, while the girl gave a good performance it’s hard to forget the stunts she pulled in public, acting quite brazen in running around with a gang of hooligan noble children, causing fights during notable events. And I believe we all took keen notice to her outburst afterwards about the Duke. The highest fall the fastest, and I take no pleasure in telling you this dear, but you’re not the only one eyeing the Duke of Sunholdt, and from what I’ve heard, his eyes are wandering to a certain Sarkozy this year.

    Anne Josephine:

It’s widely known this d’Arkent wears the pants in the family, is always seen representing her family, and is never given credit. While her presentation was boredly perfect. I do wonder what chances this one will have with our young and few bachelors. You can hide behind pride all you want darling, but I suggest you be less picky. A debut during the war is no less dangerous than the battlefield.

    Analiese d’Nervous Wreck:

One could cut the tension from this girls display with a boulder, as if her walking to the wrong side of the throneroom didn’t make it bad enough, the girl spoke aloud with Laurentina during anothers presentation. Here I was thinking the Prize of Nepotism would go to Annabelle Augusta, I guess Novellen blood isn’t worth as much as a seat in Government.

    Eloise Helen:

Fashion of a ruby, presentation of a peasant. This poor girl got upstaged by the Imperial Prince’s fashionably late entrance on horseback, clearly oblivious to the girl's presentation, we know who’s eye Eloise won't be catching. I for one find her most unmemorable, she’ll need to claw her way back to the top after that display.

    Ioanna Elisheva:

Over excretion goes to this young debutante, we know not why the court gazed over her, perhaps boredom? But the only interesting thing about her debut was the private items held by a certain Princess Imperial. Even that display couldn’t keep the Royal Prince's eyes from glazing over.

    Coraline Antonia:
It should be no surprise the debutante of Carrington presents herself like a trollop. Whether it be Green Carrington or his wife the iconic albeit scandalous Mary. The family was born on whoring itself to the empire, especially when Imperial Marks are involved… Needless to say her aims to bring great heights to her family are bound to be upstaged by her sleeve lengths.

    Bianca de Sarkozy:
When Sarkozy’s and The Novellens are put together, it rarely ends in matrimony, this young debutant seems to see it otherwise, rather choosing to parade her line’s unmentionable, and uncalled for history before the Imperial Family. The Empress however as is expected praised the girl through, I imagine gritted teeth It’ll be hard to find an Orenian Loyalist willing to call her, beloved, but that doesn’t stop this dreamer from looking to the top.

Annabelle Augusta - Poor little Novellen Girl:

Miss perfect herself has fallen down and broken her crown, figuratively.

It seems The Huntshill Heiress has been completely ignored, outshined by not one, but two of her best friends. I for one suspect foul play, as even many of my sources, can surely agree Annabelle had one of the most stunning ensembles. Speaking frankly compared to Charlotte Augusta’s last judgment, I think it's safe to say our normally fearless empress is afraid we’ll shout her down for Nepotism, a smart woman indeed.

    Elspaith Caitron:
What a bore! And uneducated at that, ‘Her Highness’ Anastasia I surely approved. Plain as a Helane Is all this penman has to say.

    Clairessa:

This Debutant is an enigma to most, and yet it is she who’s won the Empress’ verbal approval and became one of the top three picks for the Astercalia Ruby. The modest girl doesn’t know yet she’s just been marked on many debutants' hit lists, with so much to loose she better watch her step.

    Chloe Giselle & Elara Sylvie:

These girls seem eager to please, or eager to rush down the isle of matrimony, one would suspect these girls are after titles, and they want them now throwing etiquette to the wind. Remind you of a certain Emperor’s Auvergne Mistress? Watch out ladies, seems the Fitzpeters have truly been replaced.

    Catherine Marie:
Don’t worry Cathy theirs bound to be a bachelor looking for a mare to be seen and not heard. Yet who will you depend on to take all the attention now that Annabelle is in the second ranks.

    Giuseppina Madgalena:
It’s shocking to see the Carringtons display of wealth after years of their famed businesses closure, no one can deny despite the many prestigious girls of even more prestigious families bearing trinkets of their ancestors, this girl’s wealth was custom made, and with no expense spared. One wonders what reason the Baron would have to cover this girl in riches and fine silks, is she that undesirable?

Yes yes, I know, you want more. You've had a taste of blunt truth, and not even mentioning all of the Debutants this season. Rest assured as long as theirs secrets and scandals to be shared, you'll be hearing from me for quite some time.

    Yours truly,

     ~The Penman

  5. "Had she a true chance in succeeding, she'd swiftly be met by a revolution of 'her' own people." Vespira remarked with a content sigh, it is true, the tapestry of man was unraveled, but she took pride in knowing the majority of Oren still stood behind their sovereigns, in the face of utter chaos, unalike the times one would bow and pretend they were loyal till they'd an excuse to throw their leaders out of power.

Should I see election, I will seek to improve the economy, while working with the Imperial Treasury, I'll continue my means of urban planning, improving the opportunities for shop owners and overseeing cost efficient renovations in the city to provide better suited homes for growing families, while seeking to increase the capitals earned revenue, while also seeking to lower its taxes. 7. The Baroness of Westfall was shown the missive in public by her husband, shortly after she ripped the cross necklace that hung around her neck, sending pearls flying across the stone roads, before tossing her gilded cross into the gutters. "The church is useless now, dear Henrik. We've chosen our rulers, my faith in GOD is not made by some old men and broke spinsters adorned in holy cloth, oust them for all I care."

  8. Vespira L. rolled her eyes at the poorly executed scheming. "The church oversteps in thinking we care about its opinion on our leadership, I see no use for them, now the Pontiffs Apartments?... I could find a use for those..." The Baroness said with a devilish smirk

  9. [!] Made of on her stops, a sigh crossing her mouth with a smug smile as she pinned one of the flyers up where she wanted a few certain girls to see it [!]

To the feathered air heads who plump their lips hoping to force a prince into marriage through conception out of wedlock.

You'd be wise to silence your false perceptions on myself, or my husband. The thing about older women is we hear everything, wealth only makes that better. You would easily paint myself as a target for causing chaos in court, and "arguing" with Their Imperial Majesties. Most of you are young enough you were spared my cruelty in the courts when I was your age. But I know gossip better than anyone, allow me to reassure you all for those who did not see the actual truth, is that of course, myself and my entire family was upset with the loss of our home, so my husband and I were asking reasonable, fair questions. Unlike most women I try to keep a level head, and not dwell on the dead and losses, but look to rebuilding and the future, as my late father taught me. If The Imperial Family has a problem with my concerns, they're free to address me themselves, I certainly wont accept suggestions or criticizm from the likes of yourselves. I don't need the poor wannabe's hanging on the Palace coattails who barely themselves qualify as nobility to bring MY behavior into question.

And for those of you who are? Well... I'm currently keeping all my eyes on you, rest assured, I won't punish you and your gossip by embargoing you from my products, not that any of you are loved enough to afford them anyway. You happen to be horrible at keeping one another's secrets, and near Astercalia, no less?...

Yours for now, and long after,

  11. Amongst the hustle and bustle of the Beauty Tycoon's life. Vespira suddenly felt as though hit by a carriage, her infinitely turning wheel of work now stopped. She slouched into her chair after reading the news. Her face formed a frown, unlike the one that can send shivers down one's spine, one of depression, defeat. As she became lost in thought.

Ves recalled being a young girl, in the Duke of Sunholdt Palace chambers in the Novellen.
A little blonde girl dressed fully in pink, her bright, sweet smile looking up to the chestnut haired girl, a look of awe on her features, as the Duke's daughter knelt down to her level. Removing her Golden rose hairpin from her locks, letting them tumble as the adolescent stroked her cheek before fastening it to the little girls hair.

    "Oh so pretty..."

The old woman said with a sigh,  as she began to cry for the first time since her fathers death. The 'baby' girl she loved to dote on, now truly gone...

  13. The old Beauty icon smiled as she read the missive about the Emperor's generosity. "Such wonderful news, im sure the Imperial Family would be more than happy to support one of Oren's Crown Jewel businesses." she remarked to herself, and she considered what she could temp- offer the Empress...

  14. Vespira L. Uncorked a bottle of wine to celebrate the upcoming opening of her teahouse, only for one of the Komnenos maids to bring her the scandalous missive, ironically spilling the tea... "What a woman." she replied with a smirk as she shook her head.

    Vespira L. Approved

  15. As Vespira read the missive she shook her head in disbelief. "The Pontiff is not my emperor, not my sovereign, and not, my GOD. The times of the old ways are out, I say in with the new and down with any who stand against that." she replied before roughly ripping her pearl cross necklace off, letting the beautiful beads drop the floors before lazily chucking the jeweled cross onto her table, going back to tending to her business.

  16.

    24 minutes ago, Fie said:

Anne Caroline was spotted trying on kilts. When asked, she replied with "I love Scot- I mean, I love Daeland. Did you know that my childhood pet's previous owner's uncle by marriage had distant relatives in Daeland? That basically makes me Daelish-Imperial."

    @Fie

Vespira L narrowed her eyes as she tilted her head confused, before shaking her head, feathers swaying about from her hat "Well perhaps keep the relation distant, Annie. Those striped make your behind very noticeable. And not in a good way~" She advised as she went back to being her waiting Lady, taking a drag of her rose-infused cigarette.

  17. Vespira L. was quite disappointed as she read over the holy missive, walking down the stairs of her boutique as she brought the corner of the paper to the end of her lit cigarette, inhaling as the paper caught fire. She waited, watching it burn before tossing it down to the stone street, puffing out smoke as she wandered off to her office. "**** the Church" she muttered to herself, shaking her head.
