In-Character Information
Character’s name: Perthag (Petra) Almos Character’s sex: Female Character’s race: Half Uruk, Half Wood Elf Character’s age: 23 Biography: Petra was born to quite the odd circumstances, sired by an orc of the Lur Clan, named Firgog. Considered too weak to bear strong children, none of the females of the clan thought of him as a suitable mate. Wishing not to be seen as a disgrace to the clan, he resorted to mating with a slave, a female wood elf named Imara. He kept the slave's pregnancy secret, knowing that a child born of such means would be frowned upon and killed. Firgog even went as far as keeping her restrained in the hollow of a far off tree, covering up her disappearance as a simple escape. Upon her birth, he took the baby and named her Perthag, and set Imara loose, having little care for what would happen to the wood elf. He presented his daughter to the clan under the pretense that she was a full orc baby. She would be raised like any other child in the clan, being taught their culture, language, and ways of combat.
Unknown to Firgog, Imara had managed to survive those years ago, making it back to her home on Linandria. Unable to forget her daughter and not content leaving her to what ever fate she may have with the orcs, she set forth to bring together a small band of other wood elves to assist her in finally retrieving her child after 3 years. Upon arriving to the clan's whereabouts, the group awaited night fall. In the cover of darkness, they retrieved the child, narrowly escaping without detection. From then forth, Imara's child would be known as Petra, casting aside but not forgetting the savage name she had been given at birth. She would be raised as one of the wood elves, but unlike her time as a nearly indistinguishable member of the Lur Clan, Petra would face hardships fitting in to wood elf society due to her appearance being like none other around her.
It would weight heavy on her spirit, but Petra would not allow it to show to any but her mother, overcompensating by doing undesirable tasks that would prove her worth. When such did not occupy her days, Petra would spend her free time training with a wooden sword, finding herself more comfortable with a melee weapon than the bows more typical to wood elves. Her time would be spent much the same up until early adulthood, aside from the odd adventure close to home every now and then. Thirsting for more than this dull life, she now sets out into the world with hopes of making a name for herself and becoming more than a simple half-breed.
Personality Traits: Petra is a kind individual who you'd be hard pressed to find turning down a request for help, even going out of her way to do such. Despite this, it can be difficult for her trust to be gained, a direct result of individuals not trusting her, picking on her, or even hurting her due to her half-racial origins. On a related note, though it would seem odd and hypocritical, Petra has a hatred for orcs of all walks of life, a manifestation of an inner hatred for herself. She enjoys a bit of adventure and combat, a way of tending to her primal urges for adrenaline and battle. Ambitions: Petra wishes to become a reputable figure for good in the world, what some may define as a "hero". She hopes that she may one day find her place in society and overcome what ever prejudices she may face due to her half-uruk heritage. Strengths/Talents: Ambitious, kind, loyal, keen-eyed, fair with a sword and hand-to-hand combat. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Overconfident, short temper, stubborn, a bit cynical. Appearance: A somewhat tall, orc-like woman with a tan dulled by an olive undertone. She has dark auburn-brown hair swept to the right, the left side of her head kept to a close shave. Her facial features are much like that of a female uruk, but softened due to not being full-blooded, her small and dull tusks being evidence of this. She wears two small looped silver earings on each ear, as well as sporting a scar across her left cheek, trailing down to her neck. She wears simple clothing fit for an adventurer.
