Born in Santegia. Family was not poor, but not rich either, fairly happy childhood, well educated. At the age of seven his mother and older sister (by two years) were murdered and his father remarried to a mother who would physically and verbally abuse him. By the age of ten he was very exclusive and almost always isolated. The day before his fifteenth birthday he ran from home to make a new life. He met a man who offered him work for food and shelter, so he worked in the fields of a farm and lived in a fair house, but got no more education while he was working for the man. Then the man went to pick up food and never returned home, and he's been a wandering orphan ever since, stealing and deceiving to make his way in the universe. His first experience with putting people in a trance was when he was almost 18, he was arguing with a man about a price and said something about the person at the store nearby, and he kept stretching the lie until the man could do nothing but focus on his words and think about the person running the other store. When the clerk went to argue with the other store owner, he stole what he was arguing over (bread) and walked off, leaving the two store owners to bicker. His words have a slightly entrancing touch to them, but without the use of magic. He lies and makes the person so focused on his words they can do nothing BUT think about what he is saying.
