In the Atlas year of 1645, a snow elf named Alorii was born on a small hotspring farm to the southeast of Fenn. Though his birth mother was absent from his life following his birth, the young Mali'fenn had a close relationship with his father, who was a farmer and ice fisherman well-versed in the ways of the encompassing tundra that was their home. It seemed that generations before, his family had left Fenn to separate themselves from what was only known to his father to be "conflicting interests", and had since made their way as farmers, occasionally trading and selling their goods back to Fenn. His father raised him well for an older elf of his age, though his upbringing was less focused on notions of thill'al and chul o'tilru, due to their distance from Fenn, and more on survival and a strong dedication to hard work. Despite his family’s estrangement from Fenn, he felt himself growing more and more enchanted with the towering walls and ornate structures within the city with each visit to trade, and often dreamed of one day becoming a citizen of Fenn and connecting with others of his race. Following his father's passing, he began making plans to leave his family home and travel to Fenn, where he planned to join one of the farming colonies he had heard of during his previous travels to the elven city. It is with these dreams and youthful ambitions in mind that the elf begins his journey at the gates of Fenn.
