  1. Akkar Tundrak read over the official recognition with a smile, making his opinion known publically: "I must admit that it is with great joy to which I witness the slow abolition of ongoing Aheral' idiocy; feable acts by this foolish Aheral' Sohaer proves enough for any Mali' to understand the roots of whom these grotesque issues originate. Through Princess Ivarielle I, not just the Aheral' may recover a measure of strength, but also, through her that all Mali' may once again become emboldened in new-found vigour among our kind."

  2. Akkar Tundrak had left the city days prior- his goal was to seek out the monuments continually constructed across the Snowy North by the Frost Witches, in attempt to curve their spread of power. Yet another enemy had returned in his abscence from the remnant;

It was the next Elven day that he sat atop a mountainous spire; watching with helpless intent as the by-product of battle for the Fennic' town began to rise far-off in the horizon. Plooms of smoke and embers created a tall beacon stretching up to touch the sky, even through the blizzard did the light of fire carry, the shouting and screaming from the conflict echoed through the valleys.

The Fenn' spoke bluntly "Of all the groups attacking us: only those... monsters could be so brave. I do not doubt there will be yet another Fennic' victory in the coming days under the lead of my Mal'onn ( @Monkee) they come and yet once again we send them on their way to meet Wyrvun in the afterlife, laughing to himself he said "The other realms are now full of useless non-combatants, even now a single group of Aheral' are the only ones strong-willed enough to fight these things alongside us..."

Closing his eyes he'd speak out into the Cold lands "Wyrvun, ruler of this deep-cold, the Ivae'Fenn need your guidance, watch as they attack your enemies. Watch over the Aheral' who aid us as they are not accustomed to fighting these monstrocities especially in such... conditions as these in the North" He thought of a specific Silver Elfess "She has steeled her resolve, be it that she aids in this battle, then gift upon her your guidance, your strength and your wisdom." ( @Twinny Akkar sat alone on the snowy peaks, watching out for the many things would attempt to ambush him. He stood on guard throughout the night with his glaive

  3. A Mali'Fenn Valkyr spotted the note on his many patrols through Wyrvuns domain- gathering his thoughts he would write a response, then posting it on the same notice board:

"You forget to mention the Fenn' though, I do not blame you, a mere mention of the Mali'Fenn is enough to usurp the power balance of any unity, afterall someone must lead, and that is always the strong.

If the current Elven states are to stand the measure of competance then is it not the Fennic' Princes to which stand as the best choice. That is to say, in any instance of unity the Mali'Fenn would be the backbone of governance and military, if not immediately made so then eventually, over time through pure ability, inevitably awarded such positions."

At the bottom it would be signed:

    "Akkar Thuln'diraar"

  4. Almaris is rated PG: parental guidance is advised.

    PG.png.13ba8eedd06c3857a947ce8901efec89.png

Staff are the parental guidance for what is believed to be an entire playerbase of children, incapable of handling conflict//war, incapable of facing any true loss or gain to a war in MEDIEVAL roleplay setting. I don't know about you guys but medieval times in my mind were constant hardships including excessive conflict, famine, disease and extensive war, and i've seen none of that in Almaris.

In terms of events; this whole map I've ran into zero staff events, one player-ran eventline which was real good, and one instance where a dragon popped by Elvenesse to help them remove some stuff for their rebuild.

  5. An individual stood upright, beating a man with a wooden stick profusely. One single copy of the missive flew towards him carried by the wind and landing at his boot. Reading it a moment, he'd look down at the beaten man saying: "I'm awfully sorry but duty calls, we'll pick up where we left off next time!" waving the missive in the air a moment, then skipping off

  6. Akkar sat in the Tundrak abode, within the Fennic realm, far from the degeneracy of the submissive-Mali' states of the other Mali' races.

Browsing the contents of the missive he'd agree wholeheartedly, commenting:

"The Silver State has always shown weakness, yet to fall under Valah rule once more... it only serves to place shame upon their people, their reputation and their ancestors once again."

  7. Akkar read his brothers' declaration of intent, thinking upon the state of the other Mali' races one single quote would come to mind from a past family member, seeing its relevence to the current state of things he spoke it verbally:  "Of all the atrocities commited; none are soo brutal as those originating of incompetance."

  8. Akkar Tundrak sat in the Fennic' smithy at the back of the town repairing his plate armour, after the many Svarling attacks sizzled out of prominence his mind now set itself on the obligations one normally has against the evils of the realm, and preparing for yet another fanatic purge.

  9. Deafening sounds of clashing-shields and weapons making impact with plate armour, these were the sounds heard from outside the walls of Ikur'fiyem. Akkar returned back to the city only to be welcomed by these heart-sinking sounds.

Accompanied by a small hundred-man detachment of Ivae'Fenn, the Fennic' Prince decided to enter through the side entrance rather than the main gate, his force too small to attack the unknown enemy of unknown numbers from the rear. Entering atop the highest plateau of the city, a perfect view was laid out, many thousands of Svarling soldiers besieged a mere two thousand Ivae'Fenn defenders in their Mahnih formation. Without thinking, Akkar joined in with his mere hundred men, replacing those who were injured or tired on the frontlines of the main force.

In the center of the formation face-to-face with the enemy, anger fueled the small group of reinforcements, aggression followed, the hundred-man detachment struck the enemy marauders with full force relentlessly for many days. Though the Ivae'Fenn fought for three days prior to their arrival, there was somehow now a second-wind within the defenders, regrouping with his brother Vytrek in the midst of battle, the Ivae'Fenn now stopped giving ground as the flow of the battle shifted, fully on the attack and routing the marauders on the fifth day, back down the hill towards the square. Two-thousand guardians routed equal numbers, then faced down the elite heavy enemy rear guard, the huskarls, yet even they were no match, either slain or routed throughout three more days of clashing.

There was now no one stopping the Ivae'Fenn from advancing, looking down the hill it could be seen, the Haense and Norlandic armies clashing with many thousands-more Svarlings, heavy huskarls clashing with the frontline of the human force, Svarling archers atop hills pouring arrows down onto the pinned reinforcements, with the Fenn' victorious on their side of the battle, they found themselves in the perfect position to storm the enemy rear. Slaughter ensued as Ivae'Fenn Guardians charged into the rear of enemy formations.

The day fight was won, decisive actions drove the numerically-overwhelming enemy fleeing out of the city. Many days would still yet be spent collecting the dead and treating all the wounded.

  10. Xander Mareno returned home riding atop a white Myrinian-Thoroughbred horse.

Learning of the auction through his family he'd immediately return to his room and attempt to reshuffle his own schedule, moving around his personal business ventures to make room for the date. He'd comment as he tries his hardest to reschedule meetings and important dates "I can't miss this event alright?!" exclaimed Xander to himself sifting through his many papers "Jace will have my support aight? Just like I expect his in my own ventures. And we'll hear nothing more about it aight?" he'd confidently say to himself, attempt to assure his self that its about family-first.

Later in the day he'd get a raffle ticket from his brother, the entrepreneural side of him moving his words.

The death of Thalion Araen Drakon

12th of the deep cold, 1836

    thalion_concept_background.thumb.png.33a3dcd2a9f0938b9b9ae24d7dee86de.png

    He wrote on a page...

" Pure white lands sweeping across the horizon, untouched by agents of evil. Deep-dark towers of bark covered in dark greens, sprouting out of this desolate terrain. Bright blue icicles reaching onwards towards a starry-night sky, crystals gleeming and refracting beams of starlight outwards as if a performance for only my eyes to see. Wildlife having left prints in the snow, directed the way to their burrows and nests as if inviting me along. A single lit fire illuminating the folliage around itself, hues of red & orange obsorbed by the overwhelmingly white territory. "

White lands always reminded him of his home in Atlas yet that was taken from him. Dark trees reminded him of his hunting trips with father yet he was taken from him. The blue icicles reminded him of the Ivae'Fenn, his own role within it over the countless wars and conflicts, yet it was all taken from him. Wildlife leaving imprints in the snow reminded him of the once-competant leadership of his people, always creating paths for others to recognise & follow yet that competant leadership was taken from them. A single lit fire reminded him of the brothers and sisters he made along his way through the past three-hundred years of life, each one of their deaths engained within memory, they were all taken from him.

With a large sigh the Fenn' said:

"Of all the atrocities committed, none are soo brutal as those originating from incompetance"

giving into the idea that although he gave his utmost, it was all still his own incompetance which led to these numerous outcomes. Drinking through the night and feeding into his affinity with Ikurn'Valai, the Fenn' unbuttoned his clothes by the fire revealing the numerious scars, injuries and missing parts of flesh healed over by skin, incurred through nearly three-hundred years of perpetual war. His breathing was shaky at-best, the pain in his body had been growing more and more for a year now, he was certain his time would soon come.

On the eve of the next day he painstakingly placed his armour on, grasping onto his trident and using it as leverage to stand up. Once fully equiped he set out through the wilderness, taking on the many different beasts of the cold north, each time becoming a little more worse off, each time gaining more injuries, each time incuring damage upon his Drakon armour...

Muttering to himself once more through the gasps for breath: "none... soo brutal... as those... originating... from incompetance"  falling onto a knee in the face of a large white bear, the Drakon contemplated his choice for a single second as the bear rose itself up on two feet, yet still, gaining a decisive look upon his face he'd jab up and catch the bear in the neck with the three prongs of his trident, losing his own strength to hold the weight of such a beast, the bottom of the trident fell and dug deep into the ground, a white bear hung from atop its prongs.

The Drakon would set himself upright gasping for air and severely wounded, leaning against the corpse and smacking the side of the white bear a few times, he'd say: "A shame... that..." he'd cough up some blood before continuing "would've made... a nice rug... for the bathroom" his breath continued to slow as the large Elf, dawned in ruined armour, leaned against a large body of white fur, the ruined metal parts of the armour now bent inwards and pierced him.

witnessing the Pure-white lands infront of him, the dark-bark trees, the bright-blue icicles and the now burnt-out fire... the Mali'Fenn drew his last breath.

Knowing his time to be running out, he left a series of notes days prior,

the first to his wife, left at her bedside: (( @Starlight))

    " Dearest Estelle,

We both know the difficulties that faced our kin daily, and I hope you remember each one of those difficulties not for the tough times they created, but rather each of those that I faced head-strong, and at times alone. You know of my numerous injuries, you've seen them countless times and aside from that you still believed me invincible, yet you also knew a Drakon plans to die in service to his kin.

Unfortunitely, I am not invincible and I will die, perhaps not in military service, yet still a death in service to our people. I was saved in vain, I tell you now that my injuries will take me soon and I sense you have also known for a while now, perhaps by the time you find this note I will have already passed. Yet even so, do not fall into disarray, I will not allow my death to be one of shame.

For this is the last time I dawn my armour, for this the last time I wield my weapon, any & all hostile beasts I encounter lurking near the Fennic' Remnant will perish at my feet and eventually, I too will perish at the feet of one of these beasts, yet I will go honourably, taking many beasts with me, and succeeding in making our lands that little bit more safe for our kin and for our daughter. I must apologize to you Estelle, I will be spending my last moments alone, as much as one wishes to die in the company of love and comfort: I will not allow you nor anyone else to witness the unsightly view of witnessing yet another prideful-Drakon in his last moments of life, I welcome death and I will welcome you when it is your time to join me in Fin’ciwn when Wyrvun judges you worthy.

    Signed, Thalion"

A second note was left in the room of the Matriarch of the Drakon bloodline: (( @Sygnus_ @Little_Lulah))

" Honoured leader of the Drakon bloodline,

I write to you as a notice, I am Thalion Araen Drakon and I bid you warning. It is known that I did not join the reformed Ivae'Fenn under Vytrek, nor did I stay in the new settlement, and yet still I have served more time in rank and as an officer than anyone else, yet I will not recieve military honours for my death.

I fulfilled my responsibilities and what was due, and just like you I once served as the leader of the bloodline and for many Elven-years I built us up as one of, if not the strongest of all the families, so I demand of you: Do not let all that has been built fall into disarray, do not forget our values, our traditions. We are loyal, we are truthful, we are honourable and we are natural-born leaders, guide onto better tomorrows.

Even now, as you read this letter I am assuring that my last moments are ones of honour, I will not fail our blood and I will not bring shame to our name. No matter what you hear of me, remember all that I have done, whilst it may not have been perfect, I did my utmost and encurred great loss in the process. Should you fail to uphold our bloodline I am certain Wyrvun will judge you unworthy and to your own fortune you would avoid encurring my wrath upon arriving in Fin'ciwn.

Recover my body in the forests to the west, lead our people well and perhaps host a party or two to lighten hearts.

Signed, Thalion-Araen of the Drakon Bloodline

    retired Sentinel of the Ivae'Fenn"

A third note was placed under the door of Vytrek Tundraks personal room: (( @Monkee))

    " Chosen of Wyrvun,

I, Thalion-Araen of the Drakon line call upon your resolve, do not follow in your fathers footsteps, do not yet again thrust us into more pointless war on the behalf of those who would not do the same for us. Of all those we aided and protected in the past, none have cared to return the good faith, even now as our Princedom devolves into a remnant they dare not show their face to you, they dare not after soo long tempt you with shallow excuses of their poor faith.

As a Drakon I can only emphasize our traditional views; If war is inevitable then let it be upon all those who have foresaken us, the other Elven-kin care little for us, let war wage against those who talk of their might but fail to field enough military might to fend off common bandits. Though we spoke rarely, you were one of character and I do not believe you nor your brothers care to walk the path of your deranged father.

Im sure you will hear word of my actions and their repercussions, yet do not think me a fool. I set the standard for all Drakon who come after me, right now resolve & duty must take precedence. Do not fail them.

Signed, Thalion-Araen of the Drakon Bloodline

    retired Sentinel of the Ivae'Fenn"

The fourth note was slid under the Sylric manor door, meant for a friend (( @GrimDeValhalla))

    " Mister old & ugly,

Taveric, I have done something idiotic and impulsive once again, im sure you will find out soon enough. I'll be seeing our comrades in Fin'ciwn soon, im sure you'll end up here soon too with your old age. Right now I face down my last day of battle, my old injuries ache though my resolve has never been stronger than now. I may not have been present during the past few years but im sure with your own resolve you may once again pull your bloodline out of obscurity.

Im sure your time will come and you will come face-to-face with Wyvrun, if he judges you too ugly to enter I would completely understand his decision, though I am also sure that if you mentioned the great Thalion Drakon Sentinel in the Ivae'Fenn of the Princedom of Fenn, and your role as my trusty-side kick, he'll be sure to let you in. I don't believe much needs to be said, I figured it was best that you found out this way than through someone else.

Make sure whoever leads Drakon went I am gone, that they recover my body and I am not left to rot. Get to me before the animals strip my bones of flesh and ideally do it with haste, with your age you may never know how soon you'll keel over and with a face like that you may just be killed for no reason at all. Do be safe, and send Velatha my regards.

    Signed, Thalion

    retired Sentinel of the Ivae'Fenn"

    (( OOC disclaimer: ))

(( If you haven't gotten a letter or been told by someone who has, then you don't know about his death. ))

  12. Akkar Tundrak spends the time after the event resting the many injuries he had including the ones he incurred during his many falls during the summit, commenting "That was history being made right before my very eyes." he'd hear birds chirping outside and enter a state of panic for a moment "Are they BACK for revenge?!" he exclaimed to the empty room, readying his hands once more for a possible-second battle.

  13. On the far East of Almaris storms brewed over the waters, a quick onset of winds, thunder and rough waves sunk any ships transiting nearby. South-East of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan, near small sandstone ruins; wooden planks & scattered supplies littered the beaches, in the midst of it all were the bodies of many dead sailors, cold and lifeless except for one:

Washing up on the beach not long ago, Akkar  slowly awoke covered in sea weed & sand, rolling himself over onto his back he slowly gained conciousness bit-by-bit, the sun was shining a firey' flare of heat down on the Fenn' as the birds flew overhead singing as if welcoming him back with a song. Laughing to himself a little he'd comment: "All that excessive swimming in the past really served well in preparing me for this odd situation..." Continuing to laugh in his disbelief.

He lay facing the sky, slowly coming to his senses, however his peace would be short-lived as countless birds had already began descending upon the dead, picking them clean of their flesh. Akkar was not excluded from their attacks, finding himself upright and fighting his first battle on Almaris soil against the evil flying rats of the South-East beaches, easily routing the enemy forces with his bare hands.

He'd noticed an enclosed missive had fallen onto the fine-sands: most likely previously-carried by one of the many birds that had just a moment ago besieged him. Opening and reading the written contents signed by his brother Vyrtrek, he would conclusively say: "Victories are as sort-lived as ever. It is no coincidence this letter made its way to me and it is by Wyrvuns own will that this was dropped at my feet." he'd state to the vast ocean air. Adding: "It seems I will spend no time in finding my next destination, for the deep-cold remembers and guides me forward... I do wonder how my brother is fairing in these troubled times." The Fenn' walked off the beach, tripping over himself as his legs slowly ajusted to steady-lands once again.

  14. Thalion sat somewhere deep in the snowy-northern lands of Almaris, weathering the never-ending snow storms. Yet as if by sheer determination, strong winds carried a series of severely damaged pieces of parchment near enough to him; managing only to find some torn pieces of what used-to-be a formal statement by Aroiia, for Thalion it was almost completely unreadable, the only things he could piece together: a part signed by a former-princess of Fenn whereas for the contents of the actual letter he could only surmise a line about ninty-nine weak soldiers destined to fail. Forming his assumptions he would speak:"An army of weaklings?" he laughed to himself, sipping on Fennic' Iced Tea. "Well that rules out the Bortu, Mali'Fenn and Uruk then. Shouldnt be a problem." He decisively said as he moved to ready his freshly-hunted game for a one-man feast over the roaring-fire.

  15. This post is a failure at all levels of staff, I only hope the remaining LoTC player-base can see how bad of a job the staff continue to do. Its only a matter of time until another race is screwed over. The Snow Elf community itself is unanimus in agreeing that our lore is sub-par and many changes needed to happen, which is why many of us were in the midst of rewriting and refining new and better lore, the attempts to reach out with staff has been met with no response or complete boycotting. There wouldn’t be this sheer amount of anger in our community if we had gotten any communication from staff at all.

We know how much staff hates our group, how could we not know by now since in the past three years have been the target of discrimination and the lack of equal treatment over the multiple races, we are well aware that event team never came near our nation even once over the past two years of Arcas, we’re well aware that CT monks who held prominent positions in human cities would use their position to guide our new snow elf players to human cities rather than their racial home, we’re well aware that world team has no interest in fixing our city or even giving any pointers, we’re completely aware that even though many of the rare ores had descriptions that perfectly fit our tile yet zero were actually placed inside of the nation tile, we’re aware that staff cared soo little that they literally put the wood elf nation 15 blocks from our walls and our community understand all of this yet even still soo many of us chose to RP as this race and what we get in return is the loss of our racial status.

To explain why losing racial status is soo crippling: The loss thereof is our small stream of new players that keeps every group on the server going into the future, to remove our racial status after three years of OOC & inRP history is a full attack on our community at large, staff understand that without new players the Snow Elf groups die and is why we’re witnessing this post right now.

It should come as no surprise at the sheer amount of players that have left LoTC over these years because of staff neglect and it should also come as no surprise that this post has made many question whether this server can be trusted to facilitate their RP and their conjointed dynamic stories.

  16. This should come as no surprise. Staff have hated the Snow Elf race but in the many years none stepped forth to even give a reason, even now whilst we’re in the middle of rewriting out our lore the staff find it good management to remove the race of soo many players. Its any wonder soo many have left LoTC.
