When Jahkar was young, his parents were killed in the 7th caravan attack, before they died they told Jahkar to Mahdi. Jahkar jouneyed to Santagia to find the Mahdi and upon meeting the Mahdi, and follows the Kadarsi everywhere and helps them to build their new home in the savanah, helping however he could, bringing water or helping move material. As he matured, he observed others as they came in and out of Al-Damashq, and grew a huge fascination with the outside world, until the Ghanyan declared war and invaded the Kadarsi Sultanate. During the invasion, Jahkar was abducted by the Ghanyan when he was 10 and sold into an orc clan, he served there until he 15, where he was sold into a trading caravan that traveled around the north. When the caravan stopped in Haense, Jahkar (who waas 18) heard word that the Kadarsi had finally become a Caliphate. Upon hearing this, he had a (Vietnam-esque) flashback and remembering the days when he was little, helping workers by bringing water and materials to workers on the job. He fondly remembered the passion of farfolk culture and the strong sense of community and patriotism. Jahkar went to the head of the caravan and asked for freedom to go to his brothers in the Caliphate. The head of the caravan grants Jahkar freedom to go to the Kadarsi for his service and loyalty to the Caravan, along with his respect to the farfolk. Jahkar thus begins his journey to Al-Damashq, capital of the Caliphate.
