Your response is not quite right, please define metagaming. Expand on why it makes the story clunky. Ensure to include an example in your response. The war you mentioned occurred 150+ years ago in the LOTC timeline. I would suggest picking a different lore event to mention, or making it more generic. Overall the background itself is fine!
