A Public Missive on the Disownment of Junien Caisin Scelera non nostrorum. Penned by Adelina Claire van Leuven on the 16th of Wzuvar ag Byvca, 541 E.S. ꒰ ♱ ⊱─────────⊰ ✶ ⊱─────────⊰ ♱ ꒱ To the Royal Crown of Barbanov and Citizens of Haense, In the spirit of transparency and honor, I find myself compelled to address a matter that has weighed heavy on my heart. As of Gronna ag Droba in the year of Exalted Sigismund, 540, it is declared that Junien Caisin has been formally disowned from the House van Leuven. Initially, I sought to resolve the issue of Junien’s disownment in private, motivated by the desire to preserve peace and a relationship with my brother. However, as circumstances have unfolded and in light of the ongoing challenges that have arisen as a result of his actions, it has become clear that silence is no longer a viable option. The decision to disown Junien was not made lightly; rather, it stems from a series of troubles and disruptions caused by his behavior that have adversely affected both our house and standing in the kingdom. Time and again, attempts were made to guide him towards a path of responsibility and accountability, yet these efforts proved fruitless. The distress wrought by his choices has inflicted deep wounds, compelling me to take this necessary step for the greater good. As part of this disownment, I must also clarify House van Leuven’s stance on Junien’s attempt to wrongfully claim the name of our forebears, Ashford de Falstaff. While I will not go into the sheer inability of this effort nor the plethora of unfactual information penned in his missive, it is imperative to note that Junien has no right to claim the name, despite what some may say. Furthermore, due to this being the first disownment of our family, it is important to announce our adopting of a new Bastard name. While our ancestors gave out the name ‘Ashes’ to bastards, House van Leuven has decided to give the name, ‘Caisin’ - a name that now represents all of the traits House van Leuven sees as sinful and unhonorable. Please understand that this decision is not an act of animosity but rather a reflection of our commitment to ensuring that our name continues to embody honor and respect. It is my hope that this public acknowledgment will provide clarity and foster understanding among those who have stood by us during this tumultuous time. Thus as is my right as the Matriarch van Leuven, I hereby establish formally that Junien Caisin shall hereby henceforth be known as Junien Caisin “the Troublesome” Caisin.
