    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Forcing others in roleplay to follow your actions, forcing people to be hit, describing others' actions before they've even acted, etc.

Ashton Ravencroft was born in the The Principality of Savoy to an extremely abusive father and overprotective older brother. When they were 5 and put in a school program, they were observed to be extremely talkative and easily made friends. At the age of eight, they came home from school to see their father yelling at their brother while holding a cane, before their father could raise the cane to strike their brother, Ashton blacked out and woke up to their father dead on the ground. They were taken out of school entirely and home-schooled from nine to 18. Due to their brother's paranoia, they never stayed in one place for too long, thus never gaining a strong foundation of friends. At age 15 while in the outskirts of the Municipality of Redenford, they again lost control of themself while attempting to save one of the livestock from a hoard of bandits, resulting in a large scar on their face and another move to a more secluded town. At the age of 18, they decided to move away from their small town and start a new life under a new last name "Ravencroft" not wanting to be associated with their father in any way. Currently, they do not reside anywhere, as they are traveling around to find a place to settle down.

   “Welcome!” He began. “What brings you to this lovely city? Adventure? Wealth? Or some grand aspirations to elevate your place in society?”

 

  "Adventure and escape sir." they would reply "I'm simply looking for a new start at life, and I've been told here is a wonderful place to find one." they would nod at the fortified walls of the city "And it seems I also have the pleasure of being in one of the safer cities, you wouldn't believe the amount of crime I've seen on my travels" They would laugh lightly "I hope I'll find a more accepting community here as well, my birthplace was not exactly the most welcoming of new travelers." They would smile at the gentleman "For now I just need to find something to eat, what would you recommend?"
