Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Aye, I'll tell ye me story. Born into a proud smithing family deep within the halls of Thol Karak, I was expected to follow in my father’s footsteps, crafting tools and weapons for the hold’s defenders. But I always dreamed of more than the echoing clang of hammers. I wanted to see the world beyond stone walls and lantern-lit caverns.
When a scouting party returned battered and broken, reporting a forgotten tunnel crawling with strange creatures, I volunteered—over the objections of his family. I proved myself not just brave, but clever, using terrain and grit to outmaneuver threats far beyond my years.
Instead of returning to the forge, I took that first taste of danger and carved my own path.
Now, I wanders the surface world, warhammer on my back, dwarven pride in my heart, and a hunger to prove that I'm more than my name. I seek lost dwarven relics, forgotten halls, and challenges that will forge me into a legend of me own making.
