You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example: Fagh takes a deep breath, then mutters with a raspy voice "I've tavelled here to learn the words of the spirits.". He looks up to the decayed ceiling: "I want them to tell me about my ancestors.".
The hag fixes her gaze on Fagh: "the spirits are very difficult and dangerous to talk to, why would you want that?". Fargh responds: "I've never met them: they were shunned by the clan when I was a little critter, and I want to know what became of them, if they are in the Stargush’Stroh or alive. I had to learn fast how to fend for myself, how to hunt little animals and such but I was never the fighter type. I learned tanning at a young age, but have always been curious about the shamans and their rituals. Sometimes i go to the haruspex asking for help that I don't need just to see what they do and how, but the nature of their ritual still evades me."
The hag shows a crooked smile, then a loud and croacking laugh, before reganining composure: "your past is clear, but your future is uncertain, may Krug guide you throuh your journey."
