How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is the act of using information your character does not know to gain an advantage or to influence the character's actions. This can also mean informing other players of something their characters would not know of to influence an event.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is the act of dictating another character's actions or leaving them no room to counter yours. This also extends to your character doing things they are not realistically able to do.
