Thorrin is a young dwarf from Hefrumm. His parents were berry pickers, which meant that even as a child, Thorrin spent a great deal of time in nature, developing a deep interest in the various fruits of the world. His childhood wasn't always easy; his parents lived in humble circumstances, and he had to help with the berry harvest from a young age just to help the family make ends meet. Despite the hardship, he truly loved the outdoors. In secret, Thorrin would gather other fruits and herbs alongside the berries to craft juices at home, which he then sold in Hefrumm for a bit of pocket money. This eventually got him thinking: What if he left berry picking behind for good and focused entirely on crafting juices—or perhaps even spirits? Could this be his ticket to a better future and a way out of poverty? One day, he found the courage. He packed his modest belongings, bid a heartfelt farewell to his parents, and left the familiar woods of his youth behind. He is now a dwarf on a mission, wandering the world to find exotic ingredients and master the craft of brewing. His ultimate goal is simple yet bold: To create the finest, most legendary beverages the world has ever tasted.
Thorrin shifts his weight, his leather boots scuffing against the wooden floor as he eyes the candles with a mixture of suspicion and curiosity. He slowly pulls his green cloak tighter around his lean body, as if it could shield him from the hag's gaze. "I come from Hefrumm, a place where the dirt is under your fingernails before you can even walk," he replies, his voice steadying as he thinks of the mossy woods of his youth. He takes a seat on the edge of the chair, his vibrant green eyes reflecting the flickering candlelight. "My parents spent their lives bent double over berry bushes just to keep us fed, and for a long time, I did the same," he continues, resting his calloused hands on his aching knees. He reaches into a small pouch at his belt, checking the seal on a small vial of herbal tonic he brewed in secret back home. "I didn't leave that life just to end up in another dingy shack; I'm here because the world is full of flavours that haven't been met yet," he says with a sudden, sharp spark of ambition. "I intend to be the greatest brewer these lands have ever seen, turning simple roots and fruits into legendary drinks that will make men forget their sorrows".
