You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Cautiously, Chandra appraises her surroundings. She examines the old woman's face and feels the cushion the woman indicated. Determining she is in no danger, Chandra sits softly and exhales, resting her eyes for a moment. "Some town this is" The old woman chuckles, sounding as if the air coming out of her body would be sorely missed. "Some town indeed... It has been this way since that incident, though I won't burden you with those details" Chandra opens her eyes with some twinkling curiosity to look at the hag. "I'm sure it wouldn't be such a great burden" The old lady chuckles again, relieving herself of more precious air "maybe not, maybe not" The old lady's expression suddenly turns serious "But I asked you a question first; Why are you here, tell me your story" Chandra sighs and lets go of her curiosity "Right. my story.." The Dark Elf slumps down from her previous rigid position. Despite her delicate clothing and feminine jewelry, her body was toned and well kept, her grey skin was smooth and indicated a more comfortable life but her eyes were rugged and fierce. "My story is.. uninteresting for the first 15 years." The old lady narrowed her eyes "and what makes you say that" Chandra tilted her head slightly back, moving her gaze away from the lady's face "Because I was a spoiled kid, I lived comfortably, ate well, and stayed inside" The old lady smiles "What changed?" Chandra looked back at the lady "I decided that wasn't the life I wanted. I am not someone who likes to be comfortable, I am not someone who looks for an easy life." The old lady nodded "Alright so what is it you have decided you are looking for" Chandra rested her head in her hand for a moment massaging her temple "I'm looking for an exciting and fulfilling life and I'm looking to do anything that will lead me there. Since I turned 15 I devoted myself to making every decision in the name of excitement" Chandra smiled reminiscently "That's why I ran from my parents and escaped my comfortable life. That's why I wander aimlessly. That's why I am here talking to you." The old lady let out one last chuckle, satisfied "Good.. so that is your story!" Chandra peered at the hag "Yes, now burden me with the history of this town"
