Dion's story starts as a short, shy male born in Curon and then living with his brothers and father. His mother's death caused him, as the youngest male in the house (located int Warwick castle where he was raised), to take on all the domestic roles in the house. Such as the cooking and cleaning, which left him with little time for thing that father preferred him to do. Spending his time doing all of these activities caused him to be a better chef. His mother's presence was calming and her voice was melodic. She calmed down Dion's violent, explosive father when he had his frequent outbursts. He shouted at Dion's brothers, which called them to ridicule Dion. His brothers made fun of him for how he used to spend his time, practising his love for painting and music in the peace of the forest. Eventually, it came to Dion's late arrival home from the forest, leaving his chores half-done. His father raged at him and gave him a loud lecture about his position in the family, which lead to him striking Dion. Evidently, he packed his bags and set off to the lands of Arcas, leading to present day.
