Elisa Mary Bennet’s life began in the Imperial City of Helena. Born to Mary Beth and John Bennett, she was the youngest and only girl of eight children. Her mother, Mary Beth, was among the hundreds of maids employed by the Imperial Household in the Novellan Palace, and her father a butcher in Kaedrin. Mina was always something that lacked in the Bennett household. From the young age of seven she was taught to clean, sew, and knit, key skills needed to someday become a handmaiden to noble woman, or maybe even a member of the Imperial Family. The often shortage of Mina in her household taught Elisa that every single mina counts. At the age of ten, Mary Beth began teaching the young Elisa Mary to cook. Elisa was always an ambitious child, and learning new things was a part of her personality. She often found herself joining her mother in her employ, and spent much of her time in the library at Novellan Palace. The young Elisa learned to read and write in her spare time. She read many books on the history of Oren. She read the origins of House Horen and the formation and fall of the many Empires. She learned of Godfrey, and the Johannian Emperors. Her favorite stories were of the War of the Two Emperors. Currently she is within her family home in the outskirts of Helena, just turned 18. She lays down in bed excited for the day of tomorrow. She finds herself ready to seek employment in the Empire.
