Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example:
The elf pauses at the entrance, her eyes scanning the tent . A soft smile graces her lips, warm but cautious. “You’ve been expecting me?” she repeats, stepping forward with careful grace. “That’s… unexpected” She lowers herself onto the cushion, smoothing the fabric of her cloak as she does. The scent of moss and lavender lingers in the air, and for a moment. Then, with a gentle tilt of her head, she meets the womans gaze. “I’d love to tell you my story,” she says, her voice steady yet filled with curiosity. “But I wonder—what part of it do you already know?”
