    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I avoid powergaming by always writing actions that allow other players to respond. For example, instead of saying “Arthur punches the guard and knocks him out instantly,” I’d say “Arthur swings a clumsy punch toward the guard’s jaw,” giving them the chance to react.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair roleplay by letting players use OOC knowledge their character wouldn’t have, which breaks immersion, gives unfair advantages, and destroys trust in the RP community

Roleplay Scenario:

Arthur sank down on the cushion, and brushed the rain from his sleeves. “Arthur Morgan,” he said. “Once from a quiet village, now a man with a purpose. I want to be king — not for wealth or vanity, but to bring peace to a world that has forgotten what it means to live without fear.”

The witch tilted her head, a faint smile playing around her lips. “And what makes you think you can achieve such a thing?”

Arthur looked her in the eye without batting an eyelid. “Because I have nothing left to lose — and everything to give.”
Arthur stands up, mounts his horse, looks the woman in the eye and says: "This is my mission in life, I'm the one who has to bring peace to the world"
