Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"I-I can't say for sure.." Talaeris would say timidly, leaving silence in the air for a moment before speaking again "As for my story.. I uhh.. Well I started my life in a small town off near some dense woods." Talaeris would release the tension in their shoulders, thinking back to the peaceful time. "I had kind parents and lived a nice life in my younger years... That is until.." Talaeris's face darkened, thinking back to the horrible time. "Our town was raided. Houses burned and people were killed. My parents hid me in our cellar as the chaos encroached on our land. T-They Made sure I-I was safe.." Talaeris would look up and close their eyes tightly, trying to stop tears from flowing. "After the noise had stopped, I came out of the cellar.. I... I couldn't find my parents." Talaeris would clench their fist, sitting in silence for a long moment. "Shortly after, two paladins clad in fancy armor and riding beautiful horses went through the baren town.. They found me and after having a short talk with me they took me to a small outpost of theirs. I grew up there for a while and was taught the very beginnings of swordsman ship with a zweihander." Talaeris would release the tension in her shoulders once more after getting past mentioning her parents. "When I turned 18 I went off on my own.. That's my life summed up.. A-and now I'm here.." Talaeris would lean back a bit, almost relieved to be done talking about the experiences.
