    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is when another player emotes on your behalf or tries to force an attack on you without giving a chance to emote your defense.

A commoner, born to a farmer and his wife in 1698. Bryan was trained from a young age to work the small plot of land his father possessed, to sow and reap it, came harvest time storage crops to feed and breed common farm animals, to protect the farm when it was necessary, all the mentioned among other things regarding the governing of a farm. His father owed military service to a local lord in time of war, who governed the lands surrounding his farmstead. When his father was maimed in one of the lord’s quarrels with a rival nobleman, the lord’s military commander conscripted Bryan among many other peasant boys in the surrounding area, to fill the ranks of dead or permanently injured soldiers within the lord’s levy. His father, unable to affect the drafting of his only son, gave Bryan his old equipment, which he no longer had need for. A worn set of old chainplate, alongside a greatsword with Canonist engravings, before setting him off, his father placed a seed of ideology in his head, an ideology of piety and honor. Bryan served for two years with great distinction, advancing to the rank of a Man-at-Arms upon gaining adequate experience in the art of war. Before long, Bryan’s last battle in the lord’s levy took place, it was between the local lord and the nobleman he had rivalry with for decades, tensions grew and Bryan eventually found himself cornered in the lord’s castle with an enemy host approaching it. In a last stance defense of the lord’s holdfast. Bryan and his compatriots put up a hell of a fight, but to no avail, the battle shifted in the favor of his enemies. Knocked unconscious and taken prisoner of war, to be released a few months later. Bryan returned to his family farmstead, only to find the burned ruins of what remained of it, among the ruins he found two corpses, both burned to the crisp. Burying his presumably dead parents he heard rumors of a land filled with riches, a land called Arcas where he set off to on the earliest departing ship, as an adventurer and a warrior.

Physical Description: A young, bold looking man standing at the height of 6'1", a greatsword adorning his back.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
