William was born in the capital city of Santegia, and enjoyed a pampered life early on. He was taught by the finest tutors, given the best books to read, educated on how to play the finest instruments; all aspects of life deemed essential by his parents to ensure his proper rearing into Highlander society. He quickly adopted the artistic talents his parents had so hopefully forced on him, though he did not adopt all of it. His parents were both esteemed politicos, flawlessly versed in philosophy with tongues sharpened to a lethal point by endless debate. While William demonstrated some potential in this realm, his true calling seemed to be in performance. After being exposed to a street-performer, reciting poetry on a corner, something was stirred within William. A spark ignited a flame of passion that quickly consumed him, and he began his study of the performing arts. He has since studied under many of the actors and playwrights within the city, learning what he can from them, and adopting their techniques to hone his craft. His parents were less-than-thrilled that their only son would abandon such political promise in pursuit of a "lesser art" like theatre, but were begrudingly supportive of his efforts. Now he has begun developing his own techniques, based on what he has learned, and hopes to bring a whole new life to performing arts within Santegia.
