Josva comes from a family of Travellers. Since a young age he has learnt to hunt, and would normally go out with his cousins, uncles and father etc. to hunt, then return to the camp so that his mother and others could cook it. They moved around occasionally, which means that Josva has a good sense of direction and knowing where things are. When he was around 11, his family had setup their camp near a city named Judah. It was at this time, that a group of men, who Josva never found out their identities, attacked the camp, killing lots of people and burning it. Very few had managed to escape, only Josva, one of his uncles, and 2 of his cousins had made it out. They travelled around together, barely able to survive, until, when Josva was 16, they had reached civilisation. They entered the settlement of Daeland, and sold as many of their possessions as possible, so they could stay at an inn for a while. At this inn, they had found an old man, who claimed to be a friend of Josva’s great grandfather. The man said that his great grandfather was a tough man, and always looked after family. He told them stories and inspired them to keep on going. A few days later, at the same inn, a man recognised him. This man came up to Josva, called him a “dirty, homeless, traveller”, and slashed him across the face with a dagger. Josva remembered the stories of his great grandfather that he had heard, and this inspired him to go on, and he fought back against the man. Despite coming out barely alive, this was what taught Josva that no matter who someone is, or what blood they have, no one should be treated differently because of it. Doing odd jobs around the town, the four men eventually made enough money to purchase some more supplies, and left the city, going back to their old traveller ways. When Josva turned 18 however, he decided to leave his cousins and uncle, as he wanted to experience more of life.
