    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Using outside of game knowledge to gain an advantage, like you saw someone mention something on the forums and using it agaisnt that player
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It's the aim to do everything in your power to be stronger, or more powerful even if it goes against your characters personality

Hathiar hails from a small unknown clan, that lived in  Mulland Rise far to the east. He was strong and smart, but not so lucky. No matter what he tried, he failed. Any endeavour he took upon himself would eventually end in failure. He started as any dwarf would, with blacksmithing. His furnace sprung a leak, causing molten metal to flood the smithy. He then worked as a tanner, but as soon as he started as an apprentice, the shop lost all business and went under. He decided to become a solider, surely he wouldn't fail this. His band always ended up with the short end of the stick and even the safest patrols would end in blood and sometimes death. He was eventually cast out from his home. He set off for Kal‘Varoth, he was in no hurry though, he spent years trying other crafts on the road, never ending well. He just wandered, going from profession to profession hoping to eventually find luck or at least a place to rest in peace and quiet
