Lorson Goodwinn is the youngest male of the Goodwinn family, but he has a sister named Mable. Margaret and Roger, his mother and father, are merchant farmers in the area between Haense and Gotha. The Goodwinn family maintains a small farm for their own use and occupy most of their time purchasing goods to be sold on market whole-sale. Lorson’s uncle was Arthur Goodwinn, one of the council members of Halsworthy, who died under unknown circumstances prior to the trade city’s ultimate demise due to raids. Lorson and his family were unaware of Arthur’s death, but learned about the city’s sacking. In his daily life, Lorson is rather unremarkable. He is bland and generally uninteresting, being out-shined by his sister for most of his childhood. His father, however, taught Lorson to read, and he has learned a great deal about Elves and dwarves. He hopes to travel Atlas, exploring and hopefully getting into an adventure of two. He wants to go on a few journeys so that he can prove that he is as skilled and interesting as his sister. Ultimately, he would like to run an Inn where he can meet travelers from across the world and hear about their wondrous travels.
