In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a player uses out of play knowledge for roleplay, when they don't have any context about what's happening.
In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is when someone forces an action whether it's a realistic or not scenario to fit their own advantage in a roleplay scenario, like unilaterally describing an attack hitting without giving the other person a chance to respond or act accordingly themselves.

Adrian Forrester had a rough childhood. Born and raised in a cabin by the forests around Luciensburg, he lived under an abusive drunkard father whose job was to clear forests with his axe when he found the time to be sober and a meek mother who shared in her son's torment but provided the comfort Adrian needed as a human touch. Adrian was friends with another local boy named Richard from Luciensburg who would come to the forests to play with Adrian. One day when Richard had came over to Adrian's house, Adrian's drunkard father in a fit of rage believing Adrian was slacking in his chores threw a large piece of lumber towards Adrian but hit Richard unintentionally. The accident caused Richard to succumb to internal bleeding days later and sent Adrian spiraling into a deep depression which in turn affected the rest of the family. About two years later when Adrian was age 10, a fire had encircled Adrian's home while he was buying groceries in Luciensburg and killed his family - the cause of the fire being unknown but suspected foul play or just a horrible natural incident. Regardless, the incident gave Adrian a horrible fear of fire making him a pyrophobia. With no more home and no more family or friends to go to, Adrian returned to Luciensburg and lived on the streets until he was picked up by the local priests and raised in an orphanage where he received a decent education given it was a free one. At the age of 18, he left the orphanage and decided to travel to the capital of Man, Providence, to receive a higher education in hopes of becoming a lawyer or a priest like those that took him in when he was first orphaned but along his way he was robbed by a marauding group of bandits. He complied and handed over all of his remaining belongings so that he would not be skewered by a blade. Now lost, without money and with so much uncertainty, Adrian now must decide how he is going to survive in a very uncaring world.

Adrian was taken aback at first unsure if he should trust the well dressed gentleman. With nothing to lose though, he would finally speak up and reply "Hello! I'm just a young man trying to find a place to call home. All I have really are the clothes on my back and a small handful of coins I should refrain from spending but I would desperately like some new clothes. Do you know of anyone in this port who is hiring unskilled labor?"

  • Your Roleplay Definition and Experience must include your definition of roleplay!

  • Your Personality Traits/Quirks must include at least one significant negative trait. This can be anything that is a fault in their personality.

  • Your Personality Traits/Quirks are a bit lacking. If you’re lost on what more to say, think about topics such as how they react around new people, or how they view others around them! Please be sure that these traits are connected to your biography.

  • Your Powergaming Definition is incorrect. Please review our Wiki’s definition and correct yours accordingly! I recommend including an example so I know you fully understand. Let me know if you need any help!

  • Your Character Fear, Like, and Dislike must all be written in a normal sentence format and correlate to your biography!

  • Your Character’s religion is not compatible with our server lore, though it does share many similarities with this server's Canonism! I'd suggest reading more about it here: https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Church_of_the_Canon

If you do not make these changes within 24 hours, your application will be denied. When you are finished, please message me on discord @Mingo#2467 to let me know, or if you don’t have a Discord, send me a forum message, and please do ask if you have any questions.
