Greetings applicant! Welcome to The Lord of the Craft!

    Application Rules

    • You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to join LotC. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    • You must have completely read the server rules to be accepted.
    • Your application must entirely be your own original work. Plagiarism isn’t tolerated. If you plagiarize any section of your application, you will be denied.
    • You cannot create a noble or royal character, or create a character that is friends with a noble or royal, without the permission of the player whose character’s child, or friend, you will be playing.
    • You cannot create a character that:
      • Possesses or knows the details of magic.
      • Is physically flawless or is omniscient, as these are both classified as powergaming.
    • Your Character Age must be at least 18.
      • Humans, elves, and dwarves all reach physical and mental maturity at 18.
      • Culturally, humans reach maturity at the standard 18 years, while dwarves and elves reach this at 50 with the exception of snow elves at 30.
      • Halflings reach physical and mental maturity at 33.
      • Orcs reach physical mature anywhere between 12-18, and they mentally mature at 18.
    • You can create an evil character; however, you should keep in mind that villainous characters must adhere to our villainy rules, and poor-quality villainy roleplay could lead to Moderation intervention.

    Application Guidelines

    • Remember to read all notes under each text box. Some of these include requirements for your application, helpful tips, and so on.
    • Your Character Skin should match the gender, race, and physical description (as best as possible) of your character.
    • Generally, try to keep your application free of grammar mistakes and spelling errors. We aren’t looking for perfection, but a well-written application makes the reviewing process much smoother

    Final Note

    • Check often to see if a Community Team member has reviewed your application. You will receive either an Accepted, Pending, or Denied response with a comment explaining what to do next.

    • While waiting to be reviewed, feel free to log onto LotC as a [Soul]. Souls are the unwhitelisted rank that applicants have, allowing them to fly and explore, as well as chat with members of our community in the [WS] chat channel. Our players and staff are always happy to help with questions, so don't be afraid to ask! Our Community Team members have a [C] prefix in-game if you ever are looking to PM someone with a question.
    • Be sure to save your application in a separate program like Google Docs or Microsoft Word while you're working on it, just in case!

Define metagaming in your own words: Metagaming is when a player uses out of play knowledge for roleplay, when they don't have any context about what's happening.
Define powergaming in your own words: Powergaming is when someone forces an action whether it's a realistic or not scenario to fit their own advantage in a roleplay scenario, like unilaterally describing an attack hitting without giving the other person a chance to respond or act accordingly themselves.

Adrian Forrester had a rough childhood. Born and raised in a cabin by the forests around Luciensburg, he lived under an abusive drunkard father whose job was to clear forests with his axe when he found the time to be sober and a meek mother who shared in her son's torment but provided the comfort Adrian needed as a human touch. Adrian was friends with another local boy named Richard from Luciensburg who would come to the forests to play with Adrian. One day when Richard had came over to Adrian's house, Adrian's drunkard father in a fit of rage believing Adrian was slacking in his chores threw a large piece of lumber towards Adrian but hit Richard unintentionally. The accident caused Richard to succumb to internal bleeding days later and sent Adrian spiraling into a deep depression which in turn affected the rest of the family. About two years later when Adrian was age 10, a fire had encircled Adrian's home while he was buying groceries in Luciensburg and killed his family - the cause of the fire being unknown but suspected foul play or just a horrible natural incident. Regardless, the incident gave Adrian a horrible fear of fire making him a pyrophobia. With no more home and no more family or friends to go to, Adrian returned to Luciensburg and lived on the streets until he was picked up by the local priests and raised in an orphanage where he received a decent education given it was a free one. At the age of 18, he left the orphanage and decided to travel to the capital of Man, Providence, to receive a higher education in hopes of becoming a lawyer or a priest like those that took him in when he was first orphaned but along his way he was robbed by a marauding group of bandits. He complied and handed over all of his remaining belongings so that he would not be skewered by a blade. Now lost, without money and with so much uncertainty, Adrian now must decide how he is going to survive in a very uncaring world.

How would you define roleplay, and have you ever roleplayed before?: Role Play is the act of taking on a pretend role that is someone with no connection to yourself and you acting the role of the character in what I would describe as collaborate story telling between all of those roleplaying together. I haven't roleplayed before.
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?: all of them make sense
Character Name: Adrian Forrester
Character Race: Human
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 18
Physical Description: Green eyes | Brown hair | Glove Left hand | 6'1 | 176lb | Stout body type | Leather Tunic | Cloth Undershirt | Leather Pants
Personality Traits/Quirks: Adrian is Highly introverted, he is very cautious when it comes to strangers. He doesn't like negativity inducing people. He lacks combat experience since he hasn't been in a fight.
What is your character’s biggest fear? What caused them to develop this fear?: Adrian's biggest fear is Pyrophobia, because a fire had encircled Adrian's home while he was buying groceries in Luciensburg and killed his family.
What does your character like most about themselves? Why?: Adrian likes how he is very perseverance, because even though he has been threw a lot, he still pushes forward.
What does your character dislike most about themselves? Why?: Adrian dislikes his pyrophobia fear, because it makes him vulnerable when a fire starts.
Roleplay Scenario:

Adrian was taken aback at first unsure if he should trust the well dressed gentleman. With nothing to lose though, he would finally speak up and reply "Hello! I'm just a young man trying to find a place to call home. All I have really are the clothes on my back and a small handful of coins I should refrain from spending but I would desperately like some new clothes. Do you know of anyone in this port who is hiring unskilled labor?"

  • Your Roleplay Definition and Experience must include your definition of roleplay!

  • Your Personality Traits/Quirks must include at least one significant negative trait. This can be anything that is a fault in their personality.

  • Your Personality Traits/Quirks are a bit lacking. If you’re lost on what more to say, think about topics such as how they react around new people, or how they view others around them! Please be sure that these traits are connected to your biography.

  • Your Powergaming Definition is incorrect. Please review our Wiki’s definition and correct yours accordingly! I recommend including an example so I know you fully understand. Let me know if you need any help!

  • Your Character Fear, Like, and Dislike must all be written in a normal sentence format and correlate to your biography!

  • Your Character’s religion is not compatible with our server lore, though it does share many similarities with this server's Canonism! I'd suggest reading more about it here: https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Church_of_the_Canon

If you do not make these changes within 24 hours, your application will be denied. When you are finished, please message me on discord @Mingo#2467 to let me know, or if you don’t have a Discord, send me a forum message, and please do ask if you have any questions.

If you still need help, make sure to check the wiki, and I highly recommend joining our discord and reading through the New Player Hub as well for all important links and info!
