Ferdinand was born in a coal mine. His father always saw him as a laborer that was working in the coal mine with him. He was once bitten by a chicken when he was trying to play with them. Ferdinand always gathered more coals than his father but his father always wanted him to work harder. The only one who always cared about Ferdinand was his mother. His mother always fed him secretly from his father because the food that his mother was giving to him was a piece of his father's food. One day when Ferdinand and his father were working at the mine, their house burnt and Ferdinand's mother with it. Ferdinand always blamed himself for not being at the house when it was burning but he couldn't be able to do anything. After his mother's death, he left his father and tried to find new places to live. He found a village and lived there for 15 years. He found a woman that he loved and they got married. He worked on the mines near the village to make a living. When his wife was giving birth she couldn't handle the pain and died on the bed when giving birth. Now Ferdinand thinks that being alone is better than having a family and losing afterward.
Ferdinand lifts his head and looks to the gentleman. “I’m just trying to find a place to live peacefully,” he says. “I lost my family and my soul with it,” Ferdinad said and looked down to floor “I need a place outside of the pain that the loved ones loss gives”. The gentleman puts his hand on the Ferdinand’s shoulder, “Farewell, the gate is right there for you to pass,” he looks to the massive gate,“for you to go to a new adventure”.
