You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I walk towards said cushion and take a seat, adjusting my position to a comfortable one. I look up to meet the woman's eyes with a smile, "Well, ever since I was a small child, I've always wanted to explore the world and uncover it's mysteries."
"In other words, I guess you could say I'm looking for some sort of fun in my life." I chuckle, reminiscing the days of sitting alone in boredom. "You see, I'm not someone who was given many chances to have entertainment in my life--it's embarrassing really." I look at her grinning, "So, I figured that if I do travel the world I can have many opportunities to find some sort of adventure to keep me occupied..." Tilting my head, I sigh, "Well, if that doesn't work out and I can't find anything to keep me occupied, my life might be at it's end sooner than expected--even considering my 'long' lifespan."
