Johnaton was born on a cold winter night in the city of Daeland to a Daelish mother and father. Growing up in Daeland, his father was a tanner for the city. He had one older brother and a younger sister, who's birth brought the death of his mother. Then, fifteen winters since the one he was born on, his father was killed in a bar fight. His older brother, only 19, had to take care of him for a year before he left to become a soldier for Daeland. At the age of 16, Johnaton finally moved away from his sister and brother to become a tanner for the Nordengrad where he met plentiful leaders of the several rebellions that occured. Having little wealth to his name and no real form of money, he was ready to see some action on the battlefield, like his great ancestors had hundreds of years ago. He wanted to travel and visit other places, perhaps even return to his home one day, but for now he ready for an adventure.
