    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: using information your char doesn't have. for example theirs a secret meeting and in ooc your their but in rp your not their and your char starts talking about it

Alwin Rohorn

            Alwin was very happy when he was little. He hardly ever saw his father, making him a mommy’s boy. His father was a Physician When he was 10 his father lost partial control of his hand and could no longer be  a physician making him retire. His father turned into an alcoholic and started to abuse his wife and 3 children (his wife and two children died.). Alwin watched as his father tore his family apart. At the young age of 13 he became a orphan after his father was hung due to the murder of most of his family. Alwin lived with his neighbor. When he was about 16 he became faceted with  medicine and made a 6 mile trip every day to go to a library to read books about medicine, he later went to medical school due to the teacher being an old friend of his dad sneaking him into classes everyday, soon becoming the best in his class due to his immense amount of time and dedication he would go to his professor's house everyday and talk to him about medicine. Then Alwin graduated med school and is now in his 4th  year of being a Physician. Alwin can be very mean and straightforward, You can tell if he doesn't  like you. On the other hand if you gain his trust he will never leave your side, He can be very loyal and devoted. The one thing he lives for is to not be anything like his father. Alwin is very passionate that he believes in Thill’al. He is not very religous. (also i had totype this in google docs bc it was glitching to where if i type something it would get rid of the writing before it)

Physical Description: He has Crystal blue eyes Pail hair and, is about 5 11. he has very steady hands. their would be very small scars on his face.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Ø  Your metagaming and powergaming definitions are correct in essence, however they are very vague and lacking in detail. Please add more to these (Maybe examples too), and refer to our LOTC Metagaming & Powergaming wiki pages for the most correct and relevant info (Just keep in mind not to plagiarize)

 

Ø You must include at least one server lore reference in your character biography. Please fix this using the wikia and forums for examples to use.

 

Ø You must include at least one flaw in your character's interesting facts/traits. These facts/traits should be at least five-word sentences. Elaborate on what your mean by, “sometimes has emotional problems.”

 

Ø  For him to be orphaned at such a young age would likely mean he isn’t very wealthy to begin with, and thus would not be able to afford such a high level of education.

 

Ø  Medical school in a medieval-esque society was not like Medical school today. Trauma surgery would not have been a concept, and on LoTC surgery in general falls under a very umbrella definition. Also, with all of his financial and emotional issues how would your character reach the top of his class? Many people choose to make their character extremely good at a task from the beginning, but not everyone has to be the best at something.
