Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Worm cast a wary glance from beneath his brow at the old crone.
— "And how exactly did you know I’d show up?"
He trudged over to the cushion and collapsed onto it without ceremony.
— "Don’t bother answering. I know how you lot love your secrets. But you should know—jokes with orcs tend to end badly."
Worm pulled a slice of dried treat from his satchel, snapped it in half, and offered a piece to the crone.
— "Take it! Frog leg, seasoned with my favorite swamp herbs. A little token of acquaintance."
He bit into his half immediately and continued, mouth full:
— "You know, I’ve never been much of an inventor. Not strong enough either. But I’ve always had the itch to fight... So I figured—maybe it’s time to try shamanism? Heard there’s a famous shaman around these parts. Thought maybe he’d take me on as an apprentice. Any chance you know how to reach him... or earn his trust?"
