Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"How long have you waited?" Korvid responds with quiet curiosity, voice clouded by the hood and charcoal mask obscuring half his face. Deep, violet eyes meet that of the hag’s, but he remains in obscurity. Each movement is calculated, almost prepared; but somehow, he doesn’t seem alarmed. The final statement takes him off-guard. “My story?” There’s a brief pause, before he settles into the seat. “My father is my remaining family. A trader all his life, collecting trinkets and other odds and ends. This led to a lot of travel, oftentimes never… settling in place.” His fingers drum on the chair’s rest. “I suppose I’ve fallen into the family business. Travel and exploration in search of what’s next. Be it an item, knowledge, or even magic; each city brings something new and exciting."
"Ah. But enough about me." He waves dismissively, leaning in now to rest his chin on a fist; a wry grin present as he angles his head - almost as if to get a better look at her. "I want to hear about you."
