    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is using knowledge not part of an RPs guidelines as a way for guidance. Eg. Talking out of character when not using OOC.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is unrealistically executing actions that are overpowered and impossible to counter. Eg "Bob shoots (player) to death" is a form of powergaming.

The Destitution of Valencia

 

Valencia was born and raised in Caras Eldar, the capital of the Dominion of Malin. There, he lived a sweet life with his parents who worked at the seaport and tended to the boy with all of their hearts. For reasons only the gods could explain, Valencia's parents were slain by the hands of human slavers in an altercation at the docks. That fateful day forever changed the course of Valencias life forever as what was once a kind and loving boy would be twisted and tormented to a vessel of hate and despair clouded by blood lust and a yearning desire for revenge upon his captors. For years, Valencia was bound to chains and labor by his human captors and his mind deteriorated to utter madness and desolation as he mindlessly worked for days upon days. A turning point in Valencias life was when he was only 18 years old, for on that day, he snapped in a fit of rage as he lay his hands upon his captors and sapped the life from their souls. Valencia would find himself roaming the land of Atlas, seeking whatever help he could acquire, and plundering what he could. He would find himself one day at the doorsteps of the Cloud Temple, famished beyond recognition. It was here that Valencia decided to make amends for himself and journey to Khel'seth and be one with his dark elf brethren.

Physical Description: Valencia stands tall at 6'3" and weighs 160 lbs. A towering vessel of shadow, his red eyes pierce through the soul and his long hair hides his face.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

✦  Your metagame and powergaming definitions seem to be a bit mixed up with another source, please do check the definition and see if you can change it. Possibly give us an example that will complement the definition you have right now as your examples aren't what we're currently looking out for right now.

 

✦ Your biography needs lack the required one lore reference, the wiki is a good place for that and you can refer to anything about the world. It could be about when your character was born, the city that they may have lived et cetera.

 

 

Your application was good but not good enough to be truly perfect. Though fret not as you have 24 hours to make the changes.

I recommend that you check out the "New Player Discord" and wiki when times allow it!
