Godwin is a 20 year old orphan, he grew up with no such family to take care of him because they all died before he could remember. Godwin stayed at a camp, the camp he lived in would often move due to wars, they would only work small jobs and live on trades. The travelers camp that took him in made him learn many things, how to protect himself, how to not trust anyone, how to work and earn salary and how to survive alone. This led Godwin to move and leave his camp which he doesn't necessarily call home because of how often they moved, he brought his knowledge aka everything he learned as he grew up along the way, he stayed strong and depended on himself a lot. A wise heartlander like Godwin saw life at it's hardest points but he is not eager to give up. Going to the kingdom of Norland, that is where Godwin sees himself fitting in the most, he thought most independant people would be Norlandic since he's eager to become a good fighter and die a fighter too instead of avoiding wars.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
Godwin reaches towards the chair as he firmly sit with his legs crossed. "I'm a traveller.." The boy would tap his fingers on his lip, he didn't really know where he came from exactly. "I travelled with a camp along with orphans like me and people who had no one to take care of them." Godwin bobbed his head, right that's a good answer probably. Or was it? "I came here to expand my knowledge really, I want to be a better fighter.. I've avoided wars throughout my whole life. Scared.. afraid.. afraid of getting hurt." He brings his hand back down adjusting his seat, his gaze would move elsewhere. His voice was calm and soft he wasn't too loud, almost like a whisper. "I figured this town would help my case.. or at least make me different and change my views on life.. make life worth living again." Godwin clasped his hands together shifting his gaze back to the old hag. "And... yea that is all.." A faint smile would be drawn on his face, his eyes were sharp, his posture was straight showing off his lean body, almost looking like a fighters build.
