As a child, Thomas escaped from Bastion during the siege from the undead forces of Dragaar Lich Mordring, which was sent to destroy his birthplace, but lost his parents only nine years after his birth. (They died during the siege.) He was fostered by a kind couple who also escaped and took him in. When the thanium storm that consumed most of Axios came, they traveled with others to go to a new home, but got blown off course to Atlas where they lived in the wilderness for a while before they then went to live in Senntisten where he lives currently. He also was interested in Aspectism, specifically in the Emerald Way so he had left home to live with the Wood Elves for a few years. He came back to his home after 5 years and reunited with everyone he loved but was sad to see that his foster parents were slowly succumbing to the curse of the shortened lifespan. To make sure he lived his life to the fullest, he later went on a year long trip to Sultanate to learn their culture, however when he got back he was surprised to learn his foster parents had died from old age, because they were old, but not anywhere near dead in his mind, which now brings us to the present at 1661.
