In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is when you take another players ability to respond to a action or simulation; for instance you could say Winn shot Aubrey with such precision that it pierced her heart that she instantly perished.

*This biography is told in the first-person context of Mal’inor*

After Luminaire was corrupted by the Scourge, my family, broken, weary, my mother carrying me in her womb ventured to the nearest refugee camp. It was all but a silent night, for days upon days, rations served cold and smaller every time, fights broke in multitude. I was born, someday on one Malin’s Welcome, 1350, I was told later it was morning, and the grass was laced with dew which shown -- shown so endlessly in the sun as if the blades of glass were blades of swords shining in the sun in the aftermath of a battle, and night sap left the land smelling fragrant and eyelids closed.  When Lin'everal fell, my parents feared to stay and in the midst of night, and terror fled to a nearby village. My parents were a dark elf and a wood elf when the civil war emerged and prejudice ruled hearts and Seeds turn against their own; My parents were slaughtered as a lamb would be, and I was sent into exile, for I was told, “The man told to slaughter me, could not, his eyes filled with tears as clouds fill with nightly storms and he secretly sent me into exile, to Atlas,” I remember looking into his eyes, naive to what had happened and asking him “What is it, sir?”

I was told of these accounts by an elf from the camp who had been at my birth and when traversing through Atlas for matters I did not know or did not remember them telling me, heard my name and remembered it’s peculiarity and sought me.

I said “show” in my definition of metagaming when it should be “should.” characters should be unwary or naive to another player’s feelings or thoughts
