Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Valora Starum step into the tent on weary legs as she glanced at the cushion, she hesitated and sturdied herself before walking towards it and sitting down. She looked at the hag uncertainly "you been expecting me?" she questioned, then took a deep breath and looked around the tent taking in her surroundings. "I have come from Santar Grove..." she started her voice trailing off. She closed her eyes, gathering her thoughts "I have come to learn magic" she said her voice stronger "I must become powerful" she clenched her fist and conviction burned in her eyes. She looked at the hag pushing down the burning hope growing within her. "Will you teach me" she urged as she prepared for the answer that would change her fate.
