Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
I grew up in a small village in the high mountains of the north. when I was 15, I was taught how to use a sword properly, but before that my father had already taken me out on his hunting missions. My parents are simple, northern hunters, and we live off of the natural surroundings. When I was old enough to leave the house on my own, I travel down the mountain and immersed myself in city life. And one day I found myself in a tavern….. “Charles!! Get over here” Yelled the bard, in this city, the tavern where I grew up is where my first and only job was the tavern. Life was all I knew, and my boss, which got hot headed always needed me for something. “ Charles, if you don’t have these dishes done by 9 o’clock you’re fired and if you don’t get them done at all, I’ll throw you in jail” Screamed the Bard in his Wroth. “ yes sir I’ll have them done before I go home” replied Charles. After I had finished the dishes I rode out of the city up to my small log cabin that I lived in. But when I arrived, there was no more cabin. In fact, there is no more forest the entire flora, and Fana around me, went up in flames as arrows flew by. “Ambush!!!” Charles screamed I headed down the hill and back to the city, but since it took me no longer than two hours to arrive, when I got to the city it was already too late. The city was up in flames and besieged, a surprise attack! I was too scared. Instead of helping my city I fled back into the hills which protected me from the beginning.
