In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: When the other party does an unrealistic, unfair or godly actions which do not come to par with the rules, it is considered powergaming.

To avoid this, the player needs to first understand the rules and be able to know difference between realistic and powergaming. In the course of action that powergaming does happen, such unallowed actions are to be reported to the staff.

Moreover, the character which the player makes needs to be able to fit the realistic standards; meaning a realistic description and realistic actions, in example: the player cannot fall from a high place and not take damage and have ungodly/supreme power over other players for no reason.
In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is the act of predicting information which they should not know in character.

This disrupts the fair roleplay as it gives an unfair advantage in the scenario of roleplay, it builds roleplay scenarios which should not take place. In example, say a person has covered their identity with a mask because they are on the run from the police. If a player metagames and figures out who they are, and report them, this will give an unfair advantage to the police, and would ruin the roleplay for the person masked.

Furthermore, it also does not make roleplay enjoyable as instead of creating fun scenarios where your character has the possibility of losing, it gives an unfair advantage.

Character Name: Tyler Briggs
Character Race: Human
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 21
Physical Description: In front of you is a 6" male, he weighs 85.5kg, with brown hair and green eyes. (I couldn't detail as much here, so I just shortened i.t)
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—” Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Tyler's shoulder swayed as he made his way through the swampy, dim town. He kept a sense of protectiveness for himself, a heavy leather luggage hanging against his shoulder - as he swiftly entered inside the cabin; his eyes moved from left and right, checking the surroundings until he made everything was sure. He was a really cautious man.

"Well where do I start?" Tyler huffs, "I'm Tyler Briggs. I was born in a really busy town to a merchant family - obviously, this meant that we lived quite close to the port. Unlike other people - who lived a really peaceful childhood - I was expected to be wit - didn't even get to look around much and catch a breath until I had started training to become a soldier and protect my town - why you may ask? My mother, she died when I was 13. It took a toll on me, 'cause she was someone I valued, cherished, and loved." Briggs leaned back on the chair, reminiscing about his mother. "But all that aside, when I became a fresh man, 19 years, y'know?- That's when I started fighting real' wars, goin' on long expedition in the great ocean - those terrifying sleepless nights listening to the endless loud waves, the wood creaking in the ship, and the stench - oh the stench!" Briggs chuckled to himself, "Terrible." He slowly pulled closer, he had a sense of youngness in him, he still wanted to go out there and explore and make a big mark on people, "Hm, that's pretty much it - don't get ahead of yer'self, now." Briggs grinned.
