Mistuhara

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Henry takes her up on her offer and take a seat, "quite the place you have..very unique". "A new start is what brings me, to get away from a place with memories, to start anew and make new memories, more peaceful and meaningful ones." Henry tries to sit more comfortable on the cushion, but to no avail. "you can already tell but" i drop my head "an eye has been taken away from me, making life a bit more.. difficult for my former work, hard work, military work. They wanted me no longer it would seem, not fit to serve they said. A joke if you ask me, i could still serve, still help, but they did not want it." Henry raises his head to meet the hags look. "But now its time to come to this town, to start over and take the only skill that i have from my life prior to the military, butchering." Henry pats his back that lays next to him. "i keep all my tools on me, force of habit you could say, but i guess fate has a strange way of working, being able to work with them once more, meeting you here, i guess it was fated in some weird way" Henry takes a deep breath. "im babbling on" Henry's hand hold the scar where his left eye used to be "this is a blessing and a curse in one, it gets me kicked from the one thing i thought i was good at, but it brought me here, letting me have a destination, bringing me to this tent, talking to you, meeting people and hopefully being of use to them all."

"i just hope my reputation has not travelled to here, you know, it was my own fault for my eye, training, i mean" Henry scoffs "how does one even get their eye taken out in training." "it was just a small village i hail from, but when that happened, it just spread like wild fire, everyone knew about it, they didnt say anything but they judged, and i could tell. I had to get away it bothered me so. Thats why im here, to begin and see where it takes me" Henry stands up, giving the hag a smile and thanking her for her hospitality, picking up his belongings he walks out the tent, but before taking his leave he says "come by one time, for a drink" he then turns and walks to the inner town, with renewed valour and with a smile.
