Travelling between trade ports escorting caravans, Sun never stays in one place to make permanent friends other than return customers; nor has he ever bought a concrete place of residence. He has however met plenty of opportunities to pick up new skills from the people he interacts with on the job. Fletching, sketching, reading and writing- Drew is by no means uneducated. The only connection to his culture he still carries with him on his travels are his hair worn long and tied up in a ji, and his ability to read and write in New Shíwén. What he doesn’t need of his salary to pay for personal necessities such as food and repairs, Sun sends to his family in Dìguó.
The only city which Sun frequents enough to take a liking to for the possibility of a more stable job is Carolustadt, home of the Empire of Man. Protecting travelling caravans is good for mixing sightseeing and coin, but jobs aren’t always assured- and he’s sure the Imperial State Army could always use a spare hand...

She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
