Born as a Heartlander in the city of Helena, Mahd was instructed in the ways of the Church of the Canon ever since he was a small child. At some point, the lessons stopped taking hold. He saw the Church, and his own people, as frivolous and uncaring. At the age of 17, he left his parents, his city, and his people, without any sort of plan for the future. They all cast him from their minds as a no-good heretic for not following in the ways of their forefathers, but that only helped strengthen his own belief that something was not “right” about the religion his parents so adored.
Since then, he has traveled from town to town, city to city, all over the continent performing odd jobs for mere coins so that he might stay the night at one inn or another. He loves to find information on the world around him, be it in book or in song. This information he willingly shares with any ear willing to listen. At one point in his travels, he picked up the use of the flute and harp from a fair maiden who took the time to teach him the finer arts of Music, which now allows him to give of his knowledge freely to any listening ear.
As a proper gentlemen of the Heartlanders, despite his being ostracized, Mahd is a patron of the arts, very well spoken, and a rather frivolous lover of many men and women. While not prone to violence, the man is willing to help almost anyone in need, even to the point of harming those who seek to do harm to another.
Skills he has:
Reading / Writing (Childhood)
Some Herbal Remedies (for sickness only) (Learned on the Road from fellow Travelers)
Music (Harp and Flute) (Learned from a fair maiden in a small city)
Bandaging/Doctoring Wounds (Nothing Extreme, just small cuts / scrapes)
Mahd glances at the gentleman’s attire before bowing in gratitude for his generous welcome. “I thank you, my good man. I seek only the knowledge this city can give me. It’s history. It’s lore. That is all I desire. Adventure and Wealth have no place in my heart, nor does society’s elite beckon me.”
