    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using real world knowledge in-game either directly or indirectly when your character would not otherwise know it.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Effectively making it so your character can not lose, be hurt, or otherwise is perfect. Examples include never being hit in combat, always getting the cards they need for poker, or having powers or abilities they would not otherwise have.

Keralis eyes the stranger approaching him, trying to take in the finery and judge just what is going on. Inclining his head to the gentlemen, Keralis offers his own greetings, “I am here to find out what the city’s merchants have to offer.”

Looking around, attempting to find where the fellow has come from, the dwarf fiddles a beard adornment in thought. “You look like someone who’s walked these shops a few times. Tell me, which ones do you like best,” Keralis asks with a wide grin.
