Early life:

Born as 2nd and youngest child. As 2nd born son, Azriel knew from the start that he wouldn’t inherit his homestead. So from young age he immersed himself with history and culture of his people, hoping to become civil servant at citadel. He would spend most of his early days in temple library learning. On the 15th birthday however, his dream of becoming civil servant would shatter, as Azriel was sent to military academy to fulfill his service to the state.

Academy:

In academy he would pick up the art of archery. A skill that he would try to master through his time in the academy. He also started to learn hand-to-hand combat, though he wasn’t that interested in it. His least favorite subject in academy was magics, as he believed magic was the weapon of the wicked, such as high elves, who he viewed in disdain. He would spend his free time in local temple/library learning about alchemy, seeking information to combat the magical powers of high elves and benefit his own people. It was also 1st time when Azriel fell in love, though nothing came from it.

By the end of the academy years, Azriel had become one of the best archers in his school year and while he couldn’t beat a bear in hand--to-hand combat, he could keep up with slightly above average fighters. However due to huge disdain toward magics, he declined to learn them, instead opting to master the art of alchemy and herbalism.

After Academy:

After the academy Azriel was offered a place in the military. However believing that his current skills were not enough to serve his country, he decided to seek to improve his skills even further. To do that, he had to leave the cold tundra of his homeland and travel further south to land of wood elves. While his southern cousins, were sceptical of Azriel, at first.  They gave in after a while, as while there Azriel would learn about local culture and it’s history.

After spending years in Caras Eldar, he finally thought that he had enough knowledge to return to his home and to serve his country with all of his newly acquired knowledge.
