Yosai Hara was raised within the confines of battered walls born the next heir to his clan. Specializing in mercenary work gathering intel and assassinating targets, Yosai was exposed to harsh conditions at a young age. Growing up, he was spoiled by his mother and trained by his father, who taught him many valuable lessons as well as much combat experience. Over the time spent within his clan, Yosai did not get along with the other children, who spited him and his gifts. However, Yosai was given much guidance from his uncle and father, as well as the other mercenaries within the clan. He learned things such as tactical formations, tracking and locating, staying hidden and undetected, and much more.

However, many years after Yosai had been born, his clan was disbanded overnight due to an attack from a group of mercenaries. A war was fought on the very grounds Yosai was raised, the only place he could call home. As he awoke from the fighting, he would then witness the death of his friends and family, seeing his father cutdown and killed. At the time, he had only just turned fifteen, and was forced to see such vulgar things. The mercenary group that fought took the young lord under their imprisonment, forcing him to teach the soldiers what he knew from his fathers teachings. This went on till the boy turned eighteen, where he found a way to safely desert the group. He had suffered harsh treatment and even worse living conditions for three years, something no child should ever have to endure.

Eventually after deserting, he traveled to a cavern where his father used to meditate. There lied his fathers uniform and sword, which Yosai took upon himself to use.

(NOTE: Sorry the backstory is so short. I accidentally refreshed the page and lost like 3-4 paragraphs worth of a story so this is the summed up version. I've never been so close to crying over something on the internet in my life.)

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Walking into the tent, his eyes dim to adjust to the light.. "Sorry I'm not sure what you mean.. you've been expecting me?" Yosai would wonder what the woman meant, he'd only been passing through. As it dawned on him, he responded, "Well, I suppose I could tell you my story.." Taking a seat upon the cushion, he reaches into his travel-bag, taking out a box. "I was born within the domain of my fathers clan, the place our people resided." Opening the box, removing cups and some wooden plates. Taking from the box a small porcelain bottle topped with a cork, "I was raised by my mother and father, as well as the men who worked for the clan." Popping the cork, he would pour two cups worth of sake. "Well, many years after my birth, we were attacked by a group of men seeking vengeance against my clan. As far as I know, I'm the last surviving member." Sliding the sake over to the woman set upon the wooden plate, "Now then, tell me about you."
