Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”ew
((How do you respond?))
Example:
Orion looks at her silently, before obliging and stitting in the chair next to the... hag. "My name is Dimitrios Orion, but most just call me Orion." Orios shifts in the unsurprinsgly uncomfortable seat. "I was born on an island, farthest east from Balian, in a little cabin belonging to my parents, may they rest in peace." The hag listens along intently, as Orion continues to speak about himself, shifting once again. "I'm 20, and a pretty normal guy. I'm a survivor, nothing more. I'm a jack of all trades, and a master at none. I can do basic woodworking, foraging, hunting, and I can defend myself, but I'm not a master at any of it. I just know what I need to know, but I do dream of adventuring, just kind of going along, seeing what's out there, you know? I've got my dad's old armor and sword back from when he was a knight, and it's managed to scare off any potential threats so far. Anyways, do you know the way to Norland?"
